Fanta, what happened Yesterday? The shit always hits the fan when I'm not around

someone ddos'd my machine and it was supposed to be nulled for 24 hours but carnage worked some magic and I was back up in 2 hours :P

I must have banned someone really bad because I was a direct target and made some GD customers blaze as well  SORRY.

edit! just learned that it was someone who was banned from my domination server yesterday! He was autobanned for Suspected Aimbot by Insane limits!

he had ddos'd another server admins servers shortly after a ban.

Did you also set yourself as a recipient in gmail? Could you try some other settings?

Gmail really acts up, but there's no logical reason why. The mail-code in the plugin works perfectly fine and is correct, but there are hundreds of other threads in coding forums about Gmail making problems like this.

Yes, I did. Ok, I'll use another one.

Btw- gmail did send me this and the IP is one of my ded boxes:

Hi FaNtASyGiRL,

Someone recently tried to use an application to sign in to your Google Account - [email protected].

We prevented the sign-in attempt in case this was a hijacker trying to access your account. Please review the details of the sign-in attempt:

Monday, May 20, 2013 6:12:23 AM UTC

IP Address: 192.210.134.66

Location: Denpasar, Indonesia

If you do not recognize this sign-in attempt, someone else might be trying to access your account. You should sign in to your account and reset your password immediately.

Reset password

If this was you, and you are having trouble accessing your account, complete the troubleshooting steps listed at http://support.google.com/mail_p=client_login

Sincerely,

The Google Accounts team

Okay... Did you check your "Sent" folder? Sometimes the messages just appear there, but don't reach your inbox.

Could you try another recipient address and report back if that works?

Next step

Sign in using the application you want to authorize access to your account within the next ten minutes. Google will remember the application after it signs in, and will allow it to access your account in the future as long as it uses the correct password.

nothing in sent btw.

No idea tbh though. Gmail seems to act up really bad sometimes though, but there's not much I can fix about this

I assume you're using Gmail? Did you try what I posted above (using a different recipient because of Gmails way to handle emails being sent to the same address they come from)?

You can't atm.

They are saved in a central database at our servers which is not accessible to the public yet.

We're working on a webinterface presenting some information and graphs, however there's not ETA yet.

The public information will include servername, server location, size at a minimum. We'll maybe include additional information like GSP, maps, etc...

Contact information, IP/port, owner, etc... wil not be revealed.

I would just hate to have all of our server names out there with exact times / dates of crashes. It seems like a griefers dream to be able to order up a ddos on a server and then verify it was taken offline at the exact time the ddos was initiated at. Further how does displaying the server name help pinpoint any potential overlying problem?

Well, I'd argue you can do the same thing just by doing a search on Battlelog. Was there, do ddos, not there anymore. So while the risk is not zero, it's no greater than what is already true through Battlelog itself. Or gametracker.com, for that matter.

I agree with that.

I think it would be a good idea to only show Regions & GSP's to the general public

Further info should be behind 'closed doors'.

The idea I have for this Blaze Statistics Page is:

  • Show latest blazes + filters per region, gamemode, mapname

Show only server size, gamemode, map, region and GSP per blaze report.

(don't show the servername and or owner)

  • Overall Statistics on Blazes per GSP
  • Overall Statistics on Blazes per Region
  • Overall Statistics on Blazes per gamemode (gives insight about the most blazing gamemodes)
  • Overall Statistics on Blazes per map (gives insight about the most blazing maps)

EDIT:

maybe in a later stage we can add a the ability for server owners to claim their server (like Gametracker),

so they can have statistics on their own servers with all the info we gathered.

Your Contact Info absolutely should not be shown, of course.

Is it a concern that your server might get a bad rep for being crashy, even though it doesn't crash any more than average -- just seems so for being visible in the database?

How about an opt-out keyword in Additional Information, like PRIVATE? If you put PRIVATE in your Additional INFO, only generic information will be visible to the public. The database will still have the full info for DICE or hosters to get a report, if needed. Or for admins who own the servers, for that matter.

With all the DDoS attacks on gameservers going on lately, I think it's smart to anonymize the servers in the blazereports for the general public. Don't give DDoS-sers the fun of showing the result of their work.

Also- we NEED more admins to utilize this to get truly get a good idea on how much blaze is affecting us. Its not going to be an accurate reflection if only 5 percent of all admins are using this useful tool.

So lets get to advertising this somehow? Its one of the easiest plugin to run (minus the notify part that is

I like that opt out privacy idea you have PC9.

Just had another few crashes and the reason which was logged is nice. Not sure how accurate it is, but it is nice to have a bit more details. It's also very nice to have the auto restart after so many seconds. I think it's saved my butt a few times by only restarting when it's needed.

When a server crashes (not blazes) I would like to get an e-mail as well.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
