Settings

 

Adaptive Server Size

Move immediately on join?

When set to "Yes", the plugin will attempt to move player(s) immediately after they join or change teams. Technically, there is no problem with this, but if a player joins with a platoon or party, they may not be placed in the squad that Battlelog intends (it's about a 50/50 chance). When set to "No", the plugin waits to move the player until after their next death, which alleviates this issue. [Recommended setting: No]

 

Move only new players?

When set to "Yes", only players who have just joined or changed teams may be moved. When set to "No", all players not currently in squads may be moved. For example, if this is set to "Yes", players who are not in a squad when the plugin is enabled will not be moved, because they are not considered new players. [Recommended setting: No]

 

Limit Squad Rush and Squad Deathmatch to 4 players per squad?

When set to "Yes", the plugin will not assign more than 4 players to a squad in Squad Rush or Squad Deathmatch. When set to "No", all players on each team will be assigned to the same squad (Alpha). [Recommended setting: No]

 

Extras

Enable debug output?

If enabled, displays debug info in the console window.

If you read the first post in full, you would have noticed this: "If a player intentionally leaves a squad, they will be ignored by the plugin, as it is assumed that the player is either looking for a new squad to join, or desires not to be in a squad."

 

Or, in other words, if the plugin puts you in a squad, and you later decide to leave, it won't put you back into a squad.

A couple of days ago I played on a 32 player Squad Deathmatch server.

 

Squad deathmatch has only 4 squads and all players fitted in the server :ohmy:

This is possible, but would require more effort than I'm willing to put forth at this point, considering I wouldn't have a use for it on my servers. I think the overall adoption rate would be relatively low, as well. Right now, I'm trying to focus on plugins/features that are frequently requested and that would be widely used.

I guess it's another way of saying that planb said.

Currently, the only way to determine a player's clan tag is by looking at Battlelog, which, although it's possible, I'd like to avoid. Also, in my experience, I've found that the server does a decent job of automatically squadding up clan/party members when they join.

Wow this really makes Squad Rush playable now! XD

No. It will not conflict with any balancer program. When a player is balanced, the Squad Enforcer will place them in a squad on the new team if they're not already in one.

 

You should definitely set "Move immediately on join_" to "No" with Insane Balancer, though.

Same difference. The current plugin only keeps track of the number of players in each squad. To implement a whitelist, it would have to be modified to keep track of the players in each squad and an algorithm to place whitelisted players in the proper squad would need to be developed. Once again, it's doable, but not a priority for me at this time. That said, money talks. A $50 donation would make it a priority. :ohmy:

DICE broke the squad system. When a player enters the server, by default, they are now not placed in a squad. The player is not able to enter a squad either because the option is greyed out. Thanks to this error by DICE, the only way for a player to enter a squad in squad rush if for them to switch to the other team and then switch back to their original team. After they switch teams twice, the option to join a squad becomes available to them.

 

It would be nice if this tool would work for squad rush so that players are placed in a squad by default.

 

I haven't had the guts to try your tool out on a 16-slot squad rush server yet.

Why not?
Well, squad deathmatch is more complicated, since there are technically 4 separate teams (even though they are called squads). Squad rush only has two teams, but it was my understanding that each team was automatically a squad.

 

DICE broke the squad system. When a player enters the server, by default, they are now not placed in a squad. The player is not able to enter a squad either because the option is greyed out. I don't play squad rush much, so I wasn't aware of this issue. The plugin could be modified to work, but I'd need an active server to do testing on. (I run Rush and Conquest primarily, but both servers are empty right now.)

 

If you activate the plugin while the server is in squad rush or squad deathmatch, it won't do anything. I've coded it to check for these game modes in order to prevent problems.

Yeah, I know for a fact that you can't have more than 4 in Rush and Conquest. Maybe it's different for Squad Rush?

Well, squad rush is normally an 8-person affair. I am running a mutant server by making it a 16-person affair. Maybe the rules break down when you increase the team size from 4 to 8 with only one available squad (alpha).

Well, I am trying it out and the plugin seems to work fine on my squad rush server.

 

There are only 7 people in the server right now though; so I don't know if it will freak out when their are more than 4 people on each team and it needs to try to cram 8 people on one squad.

Hmm.. Well, it shouldn't be working based on the code. It won't put more than 4 people on a squad. It would try to put any additional players in Bravo squad.

I understand that you say it shouldn't work, but it is working.

 

Yes, it is only able to place 4 people on alpha squad. The additional players just remain lonewolves. It isn't giving any error messages either.

 

I'm happy. At least that is 1/2 of the team who are in squads.

 

In our rush server the plugin is working well.

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
