Regarding server side changes we try to prepare Procon as fast as possible and sometimes

Like I posted a few posts before you will have the need to have Procon check for updates

to download an updaed MOHW.def file which contains the new maps, their gamemodes and also

the human readable names.

 

Remember with MOHW you are only able to edit and change "your" maplist if you set your server

to the Custom playlist which can be done using the serversettings gameplay options in Procon.

 

If you do not change to custom (CustomPL) all changes you try to do to the server are ignored with

this type of server response which you can see on the console tab:

Even if you have changed to Custom playlist you may face a write protected maplist.txt to which

the server states it has NoAccess. This has to be fixed by your GSP.

 

Fellas, I am over at Art Of War Central and I have to add my Maps Manually, dont ask, and for the record i am there for only one more month and Im finding a new server provider.

But anyway can you guys post here the full names for MP_20 and MP_21 so I can add them to my map.txt file ? Please

Well, it is hard to give advices when you're in the need to check out things at a R-6 server also.

As far as we know the naming by filenames, not human readable names, has changed with R-6 to a short

style like we all knew it from BF3.

 

Maybe you already did what I suggest right after I uploaded the updated MOHW.def file. Hit the check for update

in Procon. And in case you have not disabled the check for gameconfig files your Procon will fetch or has fetched

the new file already.

 

In case you want to add your maplist by giving your GSPs panel a try the map names are

Code:

Human readable    -- filename
Darra Gun Market	-- MP_20
Compound	-- MP_21
and they can be used with all game modes.

 

i was wondering if the new patch allows in game admin abilities, and plugins?

I can say it now supports admin.say and admin.yell.

For admin.yell the syntax is different to the one we know from other games because you don't give a display time.

The reason is admin.yell does not write across the screen but it writes in a differet color (red) to the chat box.

 

Maybe you have tested out the movement of players. Let me say moving players was possible with Procon

since we added support fo MoHW but it is a server side bug that moved players which were not dead faced

a locked situation where they have to close the game and rejoin to be able to play again.

 

Also if you moved a player while he was dead, he was able to see his fireteam he was in at the enemy side

highlighted.

 

If both is fixed with R-6 I haven't checked yet.

 

Besides that the next Procon version we will release very soon will include the standard plugins you know.

I'll expect most plugin authors will check if their plugins are compatible with MoHW now as the channel

to the user via say/yell is there and the server sends the chat via rcon. So now also ingame commands

are possible.

Well, first check if you still got the Sequencer Error or some access error on the maplist.txt in case of changes

via rcon. If non of that is the case make sure your maplist.txt does not contain an error like having wrong

map to mode relation or mapfile names which do not exist.

 

Remember before R-6 you had to add a map to the maplist.txt with its complete path.

Now you have to use the short form. If any map still contains its long path it might

give an error stopping the server from parsing the maplist.txt.

 

For me my GSP had converted the maplist.txt to the new style already as the server

came up after the update.

This is still there. Until you die, you will see your former fireteam member on the other team.

You get the MapSequencerNotAvailable error. This means you are running a playlist with a dedicated and unchangeable set of maps, a predefined maplist.

 

Go to Procon's server settings -> gameplay tab and change the playlist to "Custom Playlist (maplist.txt)".

If you want to set it in your serves startup.cfg you have to add

You have to ask your GSP which provides the gameserver to you where to access the taken PB screenshots.

Those paths given back by punkbuster on the server are related to the gameserver.

 

Procon does not and can not download pb screenshots via rcon.

If you have read the thread(s) you should have read my questions about console quotes / logs showing your actions and a precise description of what you did, you expected Procon to do and why you have the impression it did not.

Maybe a bug in BL? I think the same Problem was in BF3.

You can't.

These are settings your GSP has to do.

Afaik your GSP has to add a command line startup parameter called

Code:

-VeniceOnline.QueueCapacityOverride <int value>
to activate a join queue. But expect the queue only to work for players using battlelog to join.

The inGame server browser will visualize the queue values but by the experience I made it

will not put you in the queue.

 

Also afaik reserved slots are not working for MoHW.

His tests showed that by having the above command in the servers startup command line the server is told to provide a join queue also for players using the ingame server browser. At this point I have to revoke my comment about the not working join queue while using the ingame browser. Guess I wasn't intently enough or had bad luck with the 3 or 4 servers I tried to join.

 

The join queue is working. :smile:

And regarding the reservedSlotsList (VIP list) it is no list working like you might now from BC2 where a joiner which is on the VIP list kicks a player from the server and takes his slot. It is working like in BF3. Being on the VIP list reserves you one of the first places in the join queue. This is definitely working while using the inGame Browser while your server is told to provide a join queue with the above command line option.

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
