i based ours originally from our bf3 options

 

just tried it on ours setting the player health to 100 and all settings as on my post the server still shows as immersive with no blood ezygroove

As far as I can tell "Immersive" is a little different in its definition compared to hardcore as known from BF3.

The set of changed variables for immersive play only includes what you see on your hub. You should be able to change some additional things like health.

Vars.ranked is read only while the Server is running and vars.allUnlocksUnlocked is read only if vars.ranked is true.

 

You have to write "vars.ranked false" into your servers startup.txt at the first line. Then you can add vars.allUnlocksUnlocked true or change its status while the server is running in Procon.

Sorry, based on all we know and with BF3 documentation in mind a config with

Code:

vars.ranked false
vars.allUnlocksUnlocked true
vars.gamePassword "yourPassword"
in the first lines should be a config which makes your server unranked with password (private)

and provide all weapons / gadgets.

 

But it could be that MoHW server has one or more bugs or intended changes which make several

commands useless. For example it still provides vars.minimap, but that has no use in the server.

 

Make sure your Startup.txt only contain allowed commands.

Some hoster add vars.serverMessage automatically to it but this command is not known by a MoHW

server. It might be that it skips something on a parsing error.

Procon 1.4.0.0 includes no plugins for MoHW because all included plugins need a channel of interaction with the user. MoHW server does not provide onChat events to monitor in game chat or admin.say/yell to send something to the player.

 

If you want to try plugins for other games you my need to create the MOHW folder under Plugins but Procon normally creates that on startup with no plugins in it.

 

Regarding your admin list I have too less information.

On all my test installations which I updated from Procon 1.3.0.0 and before there was no problem with existing accounts.cfg. This file is not included in the update and will stay as is. But remember you define the level of access per server. An account with full privileges on a BF3 server on your layer host will have no privileges on your MoHW layer. You have to add those rights to th server related config file by adding for example:

to give YourName full privileges.

Firstly, Phil_K thanks for all the work it makes handling multiple servers nearly bearable....

 

I am told by Gameservers this is a build issue and they are hopeful of it being rectified soon. 5 days ago it was possible to have ranked and pass worded server but now there is no 'unranked' or 'pass worded' servers available in MOHW, or at least there weren't any up to an hour ago!!

 

Also some of the vars commands are (such as vars.allUnlocksUnlocked) intermittently persistent and crash your server, requiring a complete 'wipe' install. I am told by GS this is also a build issue and will be sorted soon.

 

I suppose my ideal of hardcore with a compass is not likely in the near future?

Well, I can't say but I'll try to get some comment from DC about the immersive settings you can find in the only documentation and which was used to make the settings presets on the gameplay tab in Procon.

Ok it seems the issue we are having with unranked servers is all the weapons being locked and the sniper rifle being glitched where you see part of your hand and a portion of your sniper it forces u to have.

If I put it in the cfg without quotes [vars.allUnlocksUnlocked true] all the info above posts but the reaction of the vars command is different. The server still crashes and restarts 2 or 3 times stoping either on the vars.allUnlocksUnlocked, the vars.buddyOutline or the vars.hudBuddyInfo command. after recovering from several restarts this is what the server posts in and around the stated vars.

We are experiencing the issue exactly as described above.

 

If its a build issue and I am inclined to think it is, then we are unlikely to come up with a lasting fix from this end. Even if we can do that the next build may negate all the effort.

 

Bear in mind we had the 'impossible' combination of a 'private' but ranked server with an operational password four days ago.

 

The server was actually recognising the 'vars.allUnlocksUnlocked' last week but was commenting that it could not be used on a ranked server. Then they got the 'unranked' setup installed and the commands started to cause issue.

 

They are maddeningly close but still not quite there yet.

MoHW doesn't know vars.rankLimit and as the protocol states it responses with "UnknownCommand".

Based on the documentation for BF3 and all other Frostbite games this is no problem as the server just gives that response and ignores it just like as you mistype a command at the console.

As said MoHW doesn't know that command.

In general to all commands send without a value the server should response showing it received the command followed by the actual value.

 

Having that in mind MoHW R-4 has bugs with vars.allUnlocksUnlocked and vars.ranked in its "GET" response. Instead the response is only InvalidArguments but not the current state.

No. These vars are newly introduced to MoHW, but the next Procon version will not try to get the status of vars.rankLimit anymore. That truly is a left over from BF3.

 

The bugs mentioned here and the suspicion that MoHW R-4 has a glitch if it comes to unknown commands or type errors of commands was send to DC already.

Procon doesn't issue any commands itself without a user clicking something or a plugin triggering the command.

So it either was a server-bug or someone clicked a "restart round" button...

to check its startup config for misspelled or not supported commands. Also use only one place to set

your wanted playlist. Some GSP provide an extra option to change it in the command line of the server

and with some you need to add vars.playlist to the Startup.txt but don't use both as that seems to

make a server unstable too.

We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
