This is the same cfg I have ran since day 1 except when the servers in r2 refused to play mixed. At that point I just set the server command line to CombatMissionPL untill R3 Fixed that issue.

 

My current custom Mixed gametype & Map playlist runs without any issues.

 

So as stated prior, Server had been running for over an hr with ppl in it no restarts in that time, I start my Procon Choose the server to connect to, Then Game server restarts my friends in TeamSpeak say "why did u restart the server" . Only I and one other admin has Procon and the Rcon pw for the server, nobody typed quit in console and it wasn't a restart or next round command executed. I just loged in to my server with PRoCon and Bam Server restart.

 

Please understand I'm not blaming anyone, I'm just passing on info as PRocon evolves with MOHW.

For the last two lines you can use other values. Guess as default the server runs with 2 for restart and 4 to start.

I did this for one crashing test server and now he's up and running since more than 3 days.

 

Server R4 seems to have an rcon instability.

It is not Procon by itself causing it but the server failing on rcon.

Yes, I have similar issues. Mine would only run the first 3 maps. I would have to manually set the next map and it would then play but then skip back to the original 3 if I let it go by itself.

Hi,

 

There has been other reports on the MoHW mailer about this error that is showing in your server logs. One of the culprits is Procon, but they have not said what the other cause is, so there is no fix for that side of it yet.

 

The error has to do with memory access violations.

 

Until there is a fix for this, there really isn't anything that we can do, other than recommend not using Procon for the time being, as that is the main one that people have been stating has caused the issue for them.

connecting countless times with my Procon in progress to it. => No Crash.

If you do not set a gamePassword remove that line.

Also you do not need to set vars.maxPlayers because your GSP sets the max size already in the command line of your server, and if you don't want to make it smaller you don't need that. It seems like setting things already done in the command line can also cause trouble, but actually I had that case only with vars.playlist. Personally I have

Well, set you server to ranked by using "vars.ranked true" and don't mess with vars.allUnlocksUnlocked & vars.gamePassword in your startup config.

Well, I'm sorry but that question as to be ask at EA/DC.

 

Actually the rcon accessible commands do not include some command for spectators.

In case you mean with spectator the short view where you see your killer, that can be controlled

with vars.killCam.

The lines I removed are not supported by MoHW R-4. The server may seem to respond to commands all in lower case but I prefer and would advice you to use them as given back on an admin.help command.

 

For Immersive settings as laid out by documentation for R-1 see www.phogue.net/forumvb/showth...e-informations* near the end of firs post.

 

Also try to not mess around with not really documented commands like gameAdmin.* ... they are in an too early state even in BF3.

 

You may also set vars.roundStartPlayerCount and vars.roundRestartPlayerCount. The default in the server if not given has the value -1 for both which -- based on BF3 -- effectively should be 4 to start and 2 for restart.

You can password your server now.

Sadly Superg you cannot do that now. Up to the 3rd of this month you could and I know of one group that did and haven't had to restart so they still have their server locked and 'ranked' but GS informs me the minute they restart they will go on to the newer and even more broken, current server iteration.

 

Phil is correct, on the current build 'unranked' does not provide any useable weapons and there is no way around this at present. This issue is not at all complex to fix but there is no evidence that DC are working on it. Certainly the server providers have no ETA on a solution and seem to be losing heart in MOHW comparing it to the 'MW3' server side debacle.

 

On another note can anyone help me to get these 'vars' to work on a ranked server?

All HUD setting vars and regenerateHealth should have instant effect but friendlyFire needs a round restart or load of next map.

Unfortunately none of these hud setting vars or other settings work on the MOHW servers at the moment. Initially I thought it was my servers but after a complete reinstall including a 'wipe' the following has NO effect on the server setup.

Get rid of all HUD relevant vars and friendly fire in the startup.txt.

Restart your server and get in the game on your server.

 

Then disable the Hud vars you want using procon. You should see an instant effect on them.

FriendlyFire effect you can test by forwarding to a new map and have a test shoot out with a friend.

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
