Changing Databases need help

Ah, you want people who win to also have access to commands, not just manual vips, that's something new. That's something a bunch of people might want so I'll add that.

They will be in the command settings section.

I don't want to automatically do role switching. This is because if someone has a higher power level role (say VIP++) and wins a challenge, they could be shunted back down a level to the normal VIP role when they win. I could add some math checks on this around power level but then we get into the weeds with confirming both roles actually have the commands they should be able to access and a bunch of other garbage. Having the command access be based on reserved slot should be the cleanest.

Yessss! lol that is what i need so i dont have to basically babysit the list and watch when someone wins to manuaul add them that would be perfect Col. I mean I have one level of VIP's they get autobalace whitelist and reserved slot whitelist with the commands of !lead,!switchme,and !killme.. let me know when you get it done so I can add it please if thats what you are doing.i'll throw another donation in the pot for this.. it's late in the game i agree but trying to do what i can to make games fun so people keep playing.

Loaded up the file, turned the commands on tried them they worked and no error messages. This will work I will let you know if any issues arise but so far so good. Thank you

Only thing I noticied is if they hit !perks it does not show them !lead !switchme !killme

Before I did that I made a back up copy of everything that was in the sql database for all three servers, the adkats and statlogger tbls. I lost all the !stats and !rank that I had for the servers but have them backed up how can I add transfer them into server A which holds all the stats for A,B,C and have all the old stats back?

I would normally say that I could just add a custom message to winners in AdKats so that vsm could detect that, but then you'd lose all the features of the !perks command AND the additive perks on top of existing time when you win.

 

I'm in the same boat in terms of time spent vs reward with AdKats lately. It's a 6000 hour time investment at this point, so this late in the game i'm weary about making larger changes.

yes, it is possible to put 2 vip slot manager databases into one database.

 

option 1: one global vip list valid for all gameservers (a vip is valid on all gameserver with the same remaining time)

 

option 2: seperate the vips in different groups (a vip can be a vip on gameserver #1 for 5 days, and on gameserver #2 for 8 days)

 

do you want option 1 or option 2?

option 2 would be easierto to merge...

i would recommend, that you just connect the 2. server with the db from the main server. in this case, you will lose all player stats / history from server 2. of course you can export all active bans from 2. server and import to the main db.

 

maybe the dev ColColonCleaner or ty_ger07 has a better solution because i am more the guy for any vip slot plugin questions.

Either way for any of the reserved slot stuff to work you need to turn on the feed in AdKats, which means that any changes in the reserved slots made by other plugins are going to be blown away. AdKats doesn't read in from the reserved slot list, it just pushes to it and overwrites it.

You don't need to, that's just for your manual VIP status. Once you turn on the reserved slot feed everything should start working as intended. There are like 5 different ways someone can get a reserved slot, the plugin funnels them all into one master list and pushes that to the server.

this sounds good! it will work. if someone wins the adkats challenge, then adkats just need to send in the public ingame chat the hidden msg: "/vsm-addvip PLAYERNAME +DAYS" (eg /vsm-addvip SniperBen +3). vsm plugin will do the rest...

      Changes to US-East:

We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
