So this plugin isn't working anymore?

It has a function which translates mapnames to level names.

This function uses hardcoded relations which haven't been updated

to support MapPack7 vanilla BFBC2 or Vietnam maps.

I'll set it to my list to check deeper tomorrow.

You may try this 1.0.2.1 version.

The change is an update to the internal translation method to have all

maps of mapPack 7 & 8 including Vietnam supported. I also disabled

the forced setting of level names as it can make problems if you run

Vietnam mod.

CMapVote_1_0_2_1.zip[/attachment:24mnw890]

Please keep in mind this is a quick shot to help.

I'll tested to add new maps based on Vietnam but not the ingame function as i did

not change things related to that.

I've installed it but I'm having a problem. When I go to GameType List and remove cq, it is still there after I save it. I only want players to be able to vote on sqdm maps because that's the type of server I'm running.

Open up the CMapVote.cs file and go to line 109 which shows

Code:

this.m_gametypeList.Add("cq");
make it look like

Code:

//this.m_gametypeList.Add("cq");
There might be other problems. Actually i can't get it to fetch the online option list

which should be done on enabling the Plugin. This can be a reason why it does mess up

saved settings.

Thanks again for the reply. I've read some of the other comments about this plugin messing up settings for Procon, so I think I'm going to hold off on trying it for now.

Well, to have patience is not the worst choice.

I came across what caused the plugin to ignore its save settings and have a fix for that

that i'm currently testing. While doing so i haven't encountered any problem related to

other plugins. Guess i have to check the thread, but if you can link the comments

it would be great.

Most trouble caused me that the plugin was trying to load a parameter list from

the server and if you run plugins in a sandbox it had no chance to get out. Hanging

trying with an empty parameter list messed up its own saved settings.

Guess i post a new version during the day but have to test it a while on a

server.

Any news about your plugin? Will be interest see it working with Mixed Gamesmodes v3 on

No real news, sorry.

Actually i'm digging through the code to have a more detailed overview.

A new version may take a while because i tend to rewrite it for the 2.0 api in my spare time.

Mixed Gamemode... i'll keep that in mind.

I think i run into a problem with this plugin.

I tried the plugin on our rush&conquest server (clan:dmgc) and right after that the connection was lost, and i couldnt make a connection anymore.

I didnt think this was because of the plugin, but just now i tried it on our SQDM server and the same thing happened.

So now i cant make a connection to out mixedgamemodeserver, and to our sqdm server.

How can i delete the plugin when i can make a connection?

Is there a way to reset rprocon to the default settings, so i can set up the servers again?

Please help!

My name is Vlammen, i'm an admin for the Dutch clan =DmgC=.

close procon and remove/delete the plugin from the plugin directory in the directory procon\Plugins\BFBC2 - then start procon and it should be gone.

Though a plugin should not cause this problem - sure there is not a problem with your servers?

Option 2

Close procon and move the config files for your servers from C:\procon\Configs ( they are servername_port.cfg or severip_port.cfg ) and start procon

Option 3

You could re-download procon - make another directory eg procon2 - extract the files to there and setup again.

I read something about resetting the layer, that might work, haven't tried that yet.

option1 : the plugin is not in the folder, other plugins are, but this one doesnt show.

option 2: the files you've mentioned are not in the folder, not on my compu even.

option 3: tried that, but still no connection.

I think its because that plugin is in the layer, thats why i cant do anything now.

The server remembers the setting i guess...

The plugin is loaded on the main procon then - I assume you have it hosted some where ?

If you believe the plugin is the issue ( though I am not convinced) then you would have to contact who ever has your primary procon to remove the plugin.

I also find it stange you do not have config files - anywhere....

I have included a screen shot of my config directory - which shows some direct server connections and a hosted connection. (addresses masked to protect the innocent)

Some one else may correct me but I cant see how you connect without configs.

We host procon on a server, thats wright!

On that server we disabled the mapvoting plugin, and now everything works again.

I can acces all my servers!

Be aware of this, to prevent future problems.

I realy think it's something in the plugin...

!!! Thanks for the help !!!

So it seems the plugin is broken. Is there any plugin developer who want to fix this baby?

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
