I had to throw the channel creation upon start in there for a few reasons and plan on removing it in the next version. As for the swapping between channels, I'm torn between editing the channel or just swapping players... It's more code to write/test, so we'll see where that one goes.

This means your server query login does not have the permissions needed to run this plugin. If you are using a server provider for Teamspeak 3, ask them to add the permissions (which I posted somewhere between page 40-60; I don't have time to find them now) for your login.

0.9.4 -> 0.9.5

  • Added the ability to delay queries being sent to the Teamspeak 3 server.
  • Broke up and renamed several settings - This will probably cause you to have to re-do your settings, sorry.
  • Removed channel creation upon plugin start.
  • Made channel removal more robust, removing all empty channels when checked.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes PRoCon would still require a start after the plugin was disabled from an error.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes the plugin would not disable itself after a fatal error.
  • Fixed a bug where enabling/disabling the plugin during an error might cause unwanted behavior.
  • Major code overhaul - It just looks prettier now .
0.9.3 -> 0.9.4

  • Added the ability to have Team Channels exist under the root channel.
  • Added the ability to specify the Server Query Nickname.
  • Added the ability to control the password attached to channels the plugin creates (or none at all).
  • Broke up debugging information into 5 categories.
  • Revamped event processing system - No longer requires PRoCon to be restarted if plugin is disabled.
  • Revamped error processing system - Provides error messages upon being banned from the server, among other things.
  • Revamped re-connection system - Now it actually works (will not be able to disable plugin while it is attempting to reconnect).
  • Changed the squad threshold to be per-team, so players are only broken up into squad channels if there are enough players for that team.
  • Fixed a bug where removing channels would cause the plugin to crash.
  • Removed Matching Threshold due to issues - Names must have a 100% match to be matched on name.
  • Removed moving players to the staging channel if their team was Team 0 - it simply ignores Team 0 now.

Weird. I installed a few times through packages and it was still 0.9.4. I manually downloaded it form the first page and installed it manually and it worked.

Can I make a surgestion, is it possible to be able to make it drag people anywhere in TS into the relevant channel with a whitelist to go with it. Reason being our TS isnt just for our server and the default join channel isnt the staging channel, people joining it I would like it to be able to drag them to the channel needed. The reason why a whitelist will be needed is for our clans members not to get dragged everywhere when not in the server and in the server. Basiclly just the public players will be auto dragged into the right channel no matter hwere they are on the TS (we have many channels and dont want them to get lost)

is that possible?

If your ProCon is hosted, you have to use FTP and put the file on the hosted ProCon, not on your PC.

Hope this help

See the permissions list I posted on the first post, and ask your provider to give your server query login those permissions. Then the plugin will work for you.

@Tomgun

It's possible, I'm just deciding whether it's necessary or not. The plugin is meant to be used for fun, not for administrative reasons. If your clan members don't want to be moved, ask them to leave the staging channel. If you want people who just joined to be moved into the team channels, use the lobby as the staging channel.

@leyeti

You can install plugins on a layer via the packages tab, if you have the correct permissions on the layer.

I would like to know how it works, more specifically, does players need to have teamspeak client runningin order to join the ts server linked to the plugin or it work just without it?

Do you have a time line on this ? We are wanting to use this on our clan server ?

Thanks

The teamspeak team messed up and ignored the query_ip_whitelist.txt, so the plugin will always time-out. However, also, they changed how the server handles query clients flooding, so the plugin doesn't handle those errors properly. 3.0.1 works as intended, 3.0.3 may work, but might have odd issues, if the client ends up getting banned.

I have done the following tasks from reading the forums to try and fix

Created query account and entered correct details on plugin.

Double checked the query and server ports are not mixed up

Got game server provider to add the layer procon hosted on to query_ip_whitelist.txt

Allowed ODBC connections on layer

Restarted procon layer

Updated latest package

Teamspeak version is 3.01

Anyone have any other suggestions?

UPDATE: I've connected locally with no problems, I assume it's an outgoing connection problem with the layer provider.

Cheers

Sam

My feelings : Version 0.93 was much more quick and stable than the 0.95.

With this one, it takes time to switch users, sometime only 3 or four are moved, the other stayed in staging chanel.

Moreover, it is everyday down. I have to relaunch by checking the case.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
