I have been testing on our server over some days now and have a couple of questions:

When I set my "recruiting" maplist with no B2K to 0-44 players, and my "full server with B2K" maplist to 32-64 players, this is what I try to do: It starts out with the recruiting list until a round ends with more than 44 players, then it switches to my "full server with B2K" list. However I set that list to go down to 32 players so it won't switch back although I lose some players.

Is this a correct understanding of the logic of how the plugin works? Will the plugin stay on a maplist as long as the playernumbers are "fulfilled"?

I got confused before, because it suddenly switched to the "recruiting" list with 39 players counted. However I had set a manual nextmap in the procon maplist at the time. Can this interfere with the automated lists?

I also use the time function with a TDM list running only at night combined with a edited "recruiting" list. A nice function which works brilliantly. Our server went around the night from yesterday to today with full Strike at Karkand at 09:.00 in the morning here in Norway. That with no one from our clan playing.

So the best thing from this is being able to implement the B2K maps on the server, as recruiting random players to a mixed maplist in battlelog is almost impossible with no customization.

Anyone who reads this and are wondering whether to donate to get the plugin: it is definately worth it in my opinion.

I am having an issue with it however.

I load the plug-in and start following your video, When I get to the part of "add a new map list" and follow through in my procon, MY plug-in settings screen clears and I have to reload procon. When I reload procon only 6 of my 12 regular rotation maps show up, the 6th being cut off after "Game Mode".

I will await for a reply before making any further changes.

Thanks again

That's just the default list. You can change it to whatever you want.

Yes, you understand it correctly. However, you can not change the map list in PRoCon. If you do, UMM will detect it, and it will load the first matching map list (in this case, for 39 players, it's your recruiting map list).

This probably has something to do with the R20 patch and the version of PRoCon and/or BF3.def you are using. Are you having this problem on a layer server or a local copy of PRoCon? Have you updated to PRoCon 1.2.0.0? Does your BF3.def file have the line 'procon.protected.serverversions.add BF3 "926998" "R-20"'?

Edit -

Hrmm so looking in the about in my usual run procon it show version 1.2.0.0, and looking in my BF3.def file it does show that line you posted. BUT I did not go and physically D/L the 1.2.0.0 i suppose I just let it update.

I am using gameservers.com, Do I need to notify them that I want this to run on our procon server?

Please let me know if there is any log message or anything I can get for you pertaining to this.

Thanks again

vars.gameModeCounter changes the ticket count.

So, the vars.gamemodecounter is located where then? My gameserver cpanel? Because I don't have it in the UMM. Maybe, I'm not clear. I've added a TDM map to my UMM and I would like to change the ticket count on just the TDM map. Sorry for being a pain in the butt.

I think the little light in my head lit up. Do I add vars.gamemodecounter to the preset?

No idea. I'd be willing to look at it if you want to install TeamViewer.

Yes, make a custom preset and add the vars.gameModeCounter command to that preset, then assign that preset to the TDM map. You'll also have to make another preset for all of the other maps in order to change the ticket count back to whatever you want on those maps.

I have loaded my local ( username - medicinemanrn) procon and it works great.

So I got two ip addresses I could use. 173.199.104.210.25210 which is our BF3 server IP, and 68.232.177.41.17000 which is our rented procon server (The one I have been doing everything in. the one where I FTP to and it works.) Do I need to tell Gameservers.com that I am using this plugin and I need it activated server side?

Thanks

Which username and password you are using doesn't matter, as long as that login has proper privileges. You should never connect directly to your BF3 server when you have a layer server, as whatever plugins you are running locally will not stay running when you exit PRoCon, and may conflict with each other depending upon exactly what you have running under each instance. You should be installing the plugin on your layer server, and then connecting to the layer server to configure the plugin.

Okay, then the problem is with your layer server. Most likely, the BF3.def file is not up to date. It's included with 1.2.0.0, but perhaps your provider hasn't updated, in which case you can update it yourself. You can download it here: http://www.phogue.net/forumvb/showth...ll=1#post45277*

Will report back my findings.

Added email to the "special instructions" on paypal.

Have a question also... Does the plugin still kick players over the "server bug" or is that information outdated? I believe the bug was fixed with server slot reporting with this latest patch.

I've been told by one person that it's fixed, but I've been unable to confirm it myself since my server is always empty, so I haven't removed the note just yet.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
