No matter what I did with maplists mine would run the same. For my RSP I had to make a custom commandline specifying what mode I wanted to play. Then it would run a set of lists. If I made it custom it would go to my specifyed maplist. That is where I have a big problem with how DC/EA has set this up. I would like to run a bunch of modes and keep the server ranked. Under the current settings that's impossible. BTW, we use End of Reality/TCadmin2

Yeah. It's a known bug in the server.

You have to be fas and move them while they are dead already.

You also can frustrate a player by just kill him... sometimes his mouse pops up and he can not control the game anymore...

If you want your server to startup with your maplist.txt (CustomPL) set

vars.playList CustomPL
in your startup.txt or equal.

 

If your server runs in one of the other playlist-modes you still can query your maplist via rcon, but you cannot change it because you get a "MapSequencerNotAvailable" as long as you are not running CustomPL. Note, to change to a mode the last map is played twice, you cant get around it.

See first post of this thread or announcement (also linked in first post). Procon is not "broken", we cannot fully support a game than a) doesn't give us proper documentation B) still has bugs itself c) lacks proper implementation of certain features d) changes other implementations over and over again.

Furthermore, hosters should be aware that Procon doesn't work for MoH:W, so any hoster advertising Procon-Layers for MoH:W cleary is at fault himself.

We cannot create a working version from "nowhere" (and additional, it will also take some time to do so if we could).

 

EDIT: not 100% sure, but I think the command should say:

Seems like DC is using an older version of Frostbite2/at least the RCON-Part, so it's not so unlikely that this error occurred again.

No. There is no command available throught the rcon interface to disable VoIP.

But you can open the social function screens and disable VoIP there. That should do the trick.

no but seriously its bad how many people are blaming ProCon thou, I heard it in-game too, some admins of some server were complaining about you guys. its definitely bad for you guys that server providers are promoting your Procon layers while it doesn't work. makes it seem like its your fault.. when it clearly isn't lol.

 

Keep up the great work and hopefully they will release whatever is needed to get this baby working!!!

Jip. It keeps the server ranked and normal.

You should find a line like "vars.ranked true" in your startup.txt. That controls the ranked status and it's best to place it

in the first line.

It's showing up listed as custom under battlelog. I assumed that made it unranked. Guess I was wrong. :P

But have found if I use the 2 Bomb game types with the same map stagger the issue is gone. So it seems as if MOHW at this point doesn't like all gametypes with maps staggered in playlist

I have found [as stated in prior topics] that if I kill a team member and switch them while there dead they will respawn no problem and the death doesnt count against them either. We use this in our private server to set up competitive teams for practice.

Since this last update my Gameservers Private server is no longer private, its public lol... I do have a rcon password as well as a game password set up in the (Admin/startup.txt) cfg file lol. So go figure right.

 

Now I have tried in console of Procon to use the rcon set sv_password "" command from moh2010 and it says "unknown command"

 

Do you have a server command that will work?

I haven't had any luck. Did all like you suggested. Players said weapons were gone and ranks all went to private. Here's my startup.txt:

Gameservers made it private and told me it was because i had it ranked is why it wasn't locked... Yet I don't have access to a actual server cfg only what they allow in a server control panel. That's good news. Great way to keep the lag down until they resolve the whole ping issue.

The problem with all limiter plugins regardless if they check the country on IP base or try to measure the ping is they cannot send a message to a player why he is kicked. Actual client and also battlelog does not show a reason given with admin.kick or pb_sv_kick.

Sorry, I haven't followed very post in details... can you do a short summary what you want to do / have your server to do? Actually I'm to deep in coding as to read all what might be relevant.

 

Just a short remark.. your serverInfo response shows that your server has "vars.ranked true" set and has a gamePassword set.

 

Btw, vars.ranked can only be set during startup time either in startup.txt or ServerOptions.cfg. But to the last only the GSP has access.

The problem with all limiter plugins regardless if they check the country on IP base or try to measure the ping is they cannot send a message to a player why he is kicked. Actual client and also battlelog does not show a reason given with admin.kick or pb_sv_kick.

Well the main thing is it keeps the high pingers off your server , you will have to manually put the files into your plugins folder.

Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
