Your not connected to your BF3 server hence BC Client [ip: Null_IP, Team: Null_Team, Name: Null_Name]

What can be done wrong? I asked them to add the ip adress, and thats it.

Find a better host that provides much faster support.

We left them also because support took days to weeks for an answer.

Shouldn't take anymore than an hour to get support, and a good company can do it under 15 minutes.

Seems like they wanted to help me now that i canceled everything :smile:

 

But, we got it working after reinstalling, then procon froze and had to be restarted, now that it's up again, it doesn't work...

The only way to get it working again is to disable the plugin. restart Procon and then enable the plugin again.

 

It hasn't stopped working while we were actively using it though. Most of the time the channel has been idle for a while, somebody joins it and then I notice that TeamSync isn't working.

The plugin does not deal with connection issues very well at all. Meaning, if network issues arise (either just because of the internet, because of disable/enabling the plugin, or because teamspeak closed the connection), more than likely the Procon layer will have to be restarted. I am addressing this in the next release scheduled for end of January / beginning of February.

 

As for the whitelist issues, the IP of the Procon Layer must be placed in the query_ip_whitelist.txt file. If the incorrect IP, hostname, or port is attached to the ip, then the white list will not work properly.

 

If the plugin is crashing your layer, I don't know what to tell you, other than the connection is probably getting messed up due to some weird security issues - totally a guess, as I've never encountered the latest version of the plugin crashing and I've been using it 24/7 for the past however long it's been out. Make sure your sandbox settings are correct via the first page's instructions or the instructions on the plugin's details page.

 

Remember, while your setting it up, it's best to shutdown/restart the procon layer whenever you want to disable/enable the plugin. I'm sorry for this inconvenience.

That would be the way to go if you want to get around the whitelist issues, however, as I'm sure you've noticed, with large numbers of people in teamspeak + playing the game, it slows down a bit. I'm not sure of the side-effects of having this 350ms sleep though. It seems you've noticed an odd side-effect where the teamspeak connection is closed for whatever reason.

no its still not working

its on a layer not my pc, and the layer can see the bf3 server

 

it also crashes or locks up every few mins

Hmm, lampy. Please make sure you are using the latest version (0.9.3). Also, here's a little secret :P. The plugin doesn't handle enabling and disabling very well, causing the plugin to freeze up (but shouldn't cause the layer to crash... just the plugin itself). A work-around for this is once you have the plugin setup, disable it, then shutdown/restart your layer, then turn the plugin on. It should finally reach the message "Beginning Synchronization..." in the plugin console, then you're golden. If it seems to randomly stop working after this point, but doesn't say anything in the plugin console, please make sure your query_ip_whitelist.txt is setup correctly for your Teamspeak server.

 

Thanks for your help here seems to be working a lot better now, just a couple questions for you one is this plugin seems to just crash after a couple hours or so just whenever it seems like it, do you know of any reason for this and how i could correct this possibly....

 

procon and ts3 are through gameservers and they have whitelisted it..... so yeah gone through the instructions and done everything in there (I think)

 

 

Also in your next patch i don't know if this is possible or not BUT, we are thinking if this works we will go to a public "gaming ts"

 

Is it possible to have a kick from ts3 option if the player is not in the game?

 

so to join our ts the player would have to have BF3 running and would have to be in our server and already hit the deploy button, they can then join our TS be put into their "squad/team" then on disconnection from the game server they get kicked from ts all together?

 

But have a whitelist for clan members so this will not happen to them....

 

 

we are just doing this to try and stop people loitering in our ts.

Coming from a owner of a server that is 95% of the time full - it does not get used much, unfortunately.

The people that do connect however, are usually very good and platoon / clan material.

Tells me that it has connected with the TS server (that's my IP address and name).

 

It looks like it's not able to get the proper information from my BF3 server (to match me by IP, I suspect). I am running non-sandbox, and the procon layer is connect to the server.

 

Also, that is the spew I get when I am already in TS and enable the plugin.

Make sure you restart your procon layer after you enable the plugin, that seems to help the BC Client portion being all null. I believe Imisnew2 mentioned *not* restarting after enabling as a reason for possible crashes.

 

Make sure you have a valid default channel name, that will keep the plugin from being able to find the players - it seems to only search in the default channel for any players it finds in the game. (The default name in the plugin is "Staging Channel Name" or something, which is different from the default channel TS creates.) A mismatch here causes the TS Client information to be null.

 

Also, I ran into a problem where the password wasn't correct - but I think that was more of a problem using copy/paste because there were some +'s and stuff in the password and the select didn't get all the characters. Chalk this up to operator error ;-)

I dont really think we need guys squaded up in CQ or RUSH just split into the two teams.

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
