Is the TS Whitelist part of the teamspeak server install package? I will need our admin to add the line for me.

Setup Instructions

PRoCon Setup:

Copy the plugin (TeamspeakSync.cs) into your plugins directory (Plugins/BFBC2) OR install the plugin from the packages tab within PRoCon.

In your config file (Configs\procon.cfg), make sure the following settings have the specified values:

procon.private.options.runPluginsInSandbox True

procon.private.options.trustedHostDomainsPorts [ip_of_teamspeak] [query_port_of_teamspeak]

Make sure the box PRoCon is being hosted on allows outgoing and incoming connections. This plugin must connect to your Teamspeak 3 server using TCP/IP. It binds to a random local port that is open at the time the plugin is enabled.

Teamspeak Setup:

Add your PRoCon's IP to query_ip_whitelist.txt. If your Teamspeak 3 server is being hosted by someone else, ask your provider to do this for you..

Setup your ServerQuery Login through Teamspeak by going to Tools -> ServerQuery Login -> *Enter A Username* -> *Receive Auto Generated Password*.

To find what port your Teamspeak 3 server uses as its query port, look in the server.ini file. The default value is 10011. If your Teamspeak 3 server is being hosted by someone else, ask your provider for the query port.

Maybe I missed it but I dont see how I determine my Procons IP in there...

I am wondering if its possible just to move players into teams and not into squads.

At any time we might have 15-20 of our guys playing and its really more important to just divide out teamspeak channels into teams for Rush and conquest and into four squads for sqaud deathmatch.

Turning off the smaller team squads would be a big help otherwise the plugin might not be as useful for us.

Thanks

- Could you add an option to make the plugin a little more lax when players connect. Sometimes my friends join my channel on teamspeak and then connects to the server. So we strike up a conversation, but every 3 seconds the plugin swaps him to the main channel. Can you change it to only work once they are in the server. (disable the neutral team_)

- Would it be possible to add an option to change the way squads work on teamspeak. For instance the plugin makes 4 squads on teamspeak instead of 8 (Or the admin can make as many squads as he likes). You can then pick any squad on teamspeak regardless of your squad ingame. The plugin will then keep you in the right squad on teamspeak when you swap teams. This way you can have 6 or 8 or even more people in 1 squad on teamspeak. Instead of having to split up 3-3 or 4-2

@Stealth

It should only move players if they're in the staging channel. Make sure you're using version 0.9.3 - Also gotta make sure you're not striking up conversation in the staging channel. As for the feature request, I'm not sure of the actual use for this plugin, as many players would rather not micro-manage which channel their in. If I do end up adding this, it won't be in the upcoming release.

To clarify my first point, this is my setup:

Staging channel

-RU

-US

I'm sitting in the RU channel talking to a friend who is playing.

I start joining the server. Then the plugin moves me to the staging channel. If I move to RU it moves me back to the staging channel until I have connected to the server. Then it moves me to the correct channel.

And Is a channel made automatically?

**just to explain, the plugin is working correctly, the only issue I get is that nobody can seem to connect when I give them the i.p adress and port number they keep getting a password to enter, I have not set up a password on it that I am aware of. is this a plugin setting perhaps_**

@arigato0323

Whitelist.txt is located wherever your Teamspeak 3 server is being hosted.

@teeth_03

Known issue with 0.9.3.

@overseer

Clients are being prompted for a password when they try to join your Teamspeak 3 server? The plugin doesn't fiddle with that. Make sure you're giving your clients the right ip/port, and make sure a password is not set on your Teamspeak 3 server.

@Everyone

Development on 0.9.4 is coming along nicely. I've fixed various issues and implemented some new features. I'll have a full change list and a new version released (0.9.4) sometime tomorrow or the day after.

Now is your time to shine! I've put a lot of hard work into the upcoming version update, but I haven't had the time nor resources to mass test the changes myself! I want to add more features to the plugin, but I feel I should test what I have working first. Here's the change-list:

  • Revamped message system - Now with more precise messages.
  • Revamped threading system - Now handles enables/disables MUCH more smoothly.*
  • Revamped error handling system - Now, reconnect on error works, and messages for being banned (for flooding) are displayed.**
  • Allowed Team channels to either be pre-made by the user under the root channel, or the staging channel.
  • Changed the Squad threshold value to be per-team.***
  • Fixed removing channels.***

* Sometimes, the plugin does not disable the plugin when it has an error. All you have to do is disable/enable the plugin once you've made the changes to fix the error.

** There is still an edge case where procon may have to be restarted for the plugin to work correctly. It is noticeable by, every time you enable the plugin, it immediately errors out with a -4 error id.

*** I haven't been able to test these changes hardly at all.

For these reasons mentioned and because I'll be out of town for the next week, I'm not releasing this version on the Packages tab in Procon. This means to help me test version 0.9.4, you'll have to manually download it from this page.

Also not sure how the team threshold works.

Can't change it from 0.

Would be nice if this could be set to a # of players, and once exceeded, it starts splitting people into teams. If the players on TS3 drop below that limit, it places everyone back in the staging channel until the threshold number is reached.

eg.

Under 10 people on TS3 = stay in staging channel.

10+ would then activate plugin to split players up.

The not being able to change values is an error on my part. The matching threshold was removed cause it was causing errors, it defaults to name if there is more than 1 player with the same ip. The team threshold works as you describe.

I had another suggestion / way to avoid need for whitelist. At the moment your whole team gets switched at the end of the map. Maybe it would just be easier to rename the channels or not move / rename at all. Only move players between teams when they swap ingame or join.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

      We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

      You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

      Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

      If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
