When you run it In-Game, it will not show you that level of detail, because it does not fit on the chat screen. However if you run it in the provided console field, it will show you the detailed break-down. Quote * Restored post. It could be that the author is no longer active. Link to comment

I've been hesitant to setup a punish type system because I think this encourages people to sometimes play un-fair. An example of this: standing infront of vehicles and waiting to be run over. Once the griefer is run over they !punish the individual and their buddy is now free to take the vehicle. Or say you want a jet and someone else just beat you to it, no problem, stand in front of it and type then just get ready to type !punish. I think a good middle ground would be to increase the threshold on teamkills per round and then setup a punish system which will then only temp ban the griefer if he reaches the ban threshold (which would be lower than the BF3 enabled teamkills per round). Not sure if there is something out there like this already? TL;DR A system which will only keep track of punishments and will not actually admin kill the teamkiller. Will kick (or ban) after threshold is reached. Possible? Quote * Restored post. It could be that the author is no longer active. Link to comment

Will kick (or ban) after threshold is reached. Possible? Yes, it's possible ... that's what the built-in Game team-kill kicker does I think. After a certain amount of team-kills, the person is kicked. The point of the "!punish" command is so that it's not automatically assumed that every team-kill is on purpose, so the victim decides. What I can do is add a "!complain" command. It would work identical to "!punish", just without the admin-kill part of it. So "!complain" would +1 to the number of violations. Quote * Restored post. So "!complain" would +1 to the number of violations. This is the issue we've seen on our server before -- the abuse of the !punish command. People were forcing TKs knowing full well that the person whom TK'd them will be killed. Right now we do not use a !punish system to prevent that type abuse. Because we're not using a punish system we're now seeing people TK before the vehicle spawns. They know they've got 5 TK's before they're auto kicked. Sigh. Since the majority of users already know about !punish, for the sake of continuity and ease of use on the user, would it be possible to have a variable in the plugin which would dictate what action !punish should be? This way admins can decide if they want it to admin kill or not and the user doesn't have to learn a new command. It is hardcore after all; team kills are bound to happen. I would really just like a way to temp ban potentially griefing users for the sake of the server. If a new command is needed we can just fire up the spam bot and notify everyone of the change. Either way, I think this would be beautiful! Again, I do thank you. Quote * Restored post. It could be that the author is no longer active. Link to comment

And that would track the # of times a player is kicked for TK, and then issue a Temp/Perm Ban if kicked a certain # of times. Quote * Restored post. It could be that the author is no longer active. One area we do have problems with though are the accidental TKs where you run over a friendly teammate. This especially happens when someone is repairing. So, if the TK limit were higher (say, 10) and then when a certain number of punishes take place the user is kicked. I've tried setting the TK limit to 10 and then enable !forgive / !votekick (votekick at 4) but people just don't know how !votekick works, they think it's for like hacks or something. A method to edit the default behavior of !punish would be ideal, imho. Quote * Restored post. It could be that the author is no longer active. Link to comment
