yeah well I still think it's the balancer, guys getting moved in squads etc. when the keep squads together is checked, top scorers getting moved at the end when that is checked as well. I'm sure it'll work out, perhaps a simple settings change maybe but just a bit frustrated at this point.

 

 

 

 

How do I show in log? Sorry for being nooby.

Scroll all the way to the bottom under plugin settings to #9, first one...then type in "scrambled" (without quotes) and look in the console window.

Set your Debug Level to 6 so we can see the decisions being made or if there are any errors happening. Also, set your Console log to capture Events.

 

Also post your settings. Use the gen 1 through gen 6 commands and gen cl in Show In Log to dump all your settings to the log file. Or screenshot everything if you prefer.

 

FYI, I ran MB on my R10 server last night and balancing worked as expected. My server was between 24 and 60 players all night, so there were plenty of situations that needed balancing, and they all worked correctly. So something is screwy with your particular setup. If I didn't know better, I'd say R11 acts like it's in Official mode even when it isn't! That would be bad.

Every round you play for different teams, now attackers, then defeners. But balancer all the time making for us only defenders, or only attackers. When the round ends the balancer move us to the enemy team, so this way we play next map to the same side.

At the very bottom (scroll) of the plugin settings is a text field called Show In Log. Type scrambled into that text field and press the Enter key.

That error means your Procon (layer_) doesn't have permission or you are running plugins in a sandbox. In any case, don't enable ticket loss rate logging, that's not useful for what you are trying to do.

 

Mixed servers are hard to set up. You have all of the setup problems that singe mode server has, multiplied by each different mode you have. There is no easy fix, it will just take time. Start simple, use the BalanceOnly preset and the Settings Wizard for each mode in your mix and just try that. Leave Unstacking disabled. Don't touch anything else.

Are you talking about scrambling or balancing? Keep Squads Together only applies to scrambling.

 

For balancing, the only similar setting is Same Clan Tags In Squad. Which means that if tags have been successfully fetched for all players in the squad AND at least one other player in the squad has the same tag as the candidate dead player to be moved, that player will be excluded and not moved for balancing.

 

There's no setting the prevents people from being moved out of squads balancing. Nobody would ever be moved.

 

Top scorers shouldn't get moved if Top Scorers is set to True. But only 1, 2 or 3 players per team count as a top scorer. If you have a low population, only 1 player per team is the top scorer for exclusion purposes.

Server is running on tdm mode and server type is ranked. Server version is R10.

Which means that if tags have been successfully fetched for all players in the squad AND at least one other player in the squad has the same tag as the candidate dead player to be moved, that player will be excluded and not moved for balancing.

 

There's no setting the prevents people from being moved out of squads balancing. Nobody would ever be moved.

 

Top scorers shouldn't get moved if Top Scorers is set to True. But only 1, 2 or 3 players per team count as a top scorer. If you have a low population, only 1 player per team is the top scorer for exclusion purposes.

Understood, it's a learning process for me, but if I may how difficult would it be to have it do the top 5 scorers for each team assuming high population? For the most part, I have very good success using Intensify for both presets and balancing. Frankly not all players will be happy as i'm finding otu but the majority like how I have it.

Hello. I'll try to help with this one:

 

In order to exclude the top 5 scorers out of each team during the end-of-round Scrambling process, you should navigate to Section 8 in your plugin, and edit the relevant game-mode setting that's called Percent Of Top Of Team Is Strong to:

16 - On a 64-slots, fully populated game-server.

21 - On a 48-slots, fully populated game-server.

32 - On a 32-slots, fully populated game-server.

 

NOTE:

At the end of round some people always quit (sometimes more than usual), so try to take this into account as well (my calculation shown here doesn't take it into account).

Mixed servers are hard to set up. You have all of the setup problems that singe mode server has, multiplied by each different mode you have. There is no easy fix, it will just take time. Scroll all the way to the bottom under plugin settings to #9, first one...then type in "scrambled" (without quotes) and look in the console window.

I got it thanks buddy. I found out that it wasn't scrambling because at the very top it was set to none cause I had both live balancing set to false underneith cause I only wanted to use the scrambler. That part was a bit confusing because nothing stated that it affects the scrambler too as I enabled it on both mode specific and general. Its working fine now I set it to standard. thanks for the help.

BTW, the plugin doesn't care how many slots you have. All it cares about is the maximum number of players. So make sure you use 32 everywhere in the settings, not 38.

There is definitely a problem somewhere, but I'm not seeing it on my own R11 test servers. Tags get fetched correctly and my "bad tags" command always comes up with nothing.

 

This makes me think it might be a HTTP permission issue, or possibly Battlelog throttling. If the problem only happens at certain times of the day, that might be the cause.

 

Set your Debug Level up to 7, which will add all the of Battlelog fetch details to plugin.log. It's a very spammy level, but its the only way to see exactly what is failing during clan tag fetch.

DO NOT USE UNSTACKING for Rush. The stages are too short for Rush to do unstacking properly, particularly with the current limits on vars.gameModeCounter. If you can arrange for your stages to have more than 100 tickets per 30 players, then get back to me and I'll walk you through the unstacking settings.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
