It depends on what you mean by "working". The code is in place and works for me. Some people are having network problems that cause battlelog fetches to fail.

It might not be on your end, it could be on the Battlelog end. It wouldn't be the first time, the same thing happened for BF3.

Theoretically some things could be percentages, but I decided against that. Instead, I let the Wizard apply a percentage to the number you specify for Max Players and have the best of both worlds.

 

Adaptive server size doesn't have any impact on MULTIbalancer. All it cares about is the MAXIMUM number of players, that is, the largest size the server or mode can be. A server with 8 players in it is low population, regardless of what Adaptive Server Size does.

 

Adaptive ticket size DOES have an impact on MULTIbalancer. Is that what you meant? ATS can screw up MB's phase calculations. The balancer might flip-flop between thinking its early, mid or late phase, depending on what ATS does. Percentages wouldn't help, since the maximum would keep changing.

Yes. You can also set it to Reset in case stats resetting gets enabled for BF4.

Yep did that and turned off unstacking and also debug set at 7 now.

Right so with my range above, more towards the 54? I will say I've monitored my avgs and they never change, always about 65.

I'd like to understand something regarding these settings please, It'll help me validate my game-servers' MULTIbalancer configuration.

1. If jking54 87079_viewpost-right.png* wants to spare the top 5 scorers of each team from Balancing/Scrambling/Unstacking, then setting:

The plugin needs 10 to 15 seconds to do it's work, so you you backtrack from 65 and you get 50 to 55.

 

You should really try to read all the FAQs and docs, since I'm repeating stuff that's written down.

Some other plugin, maybe Latency Manager or something having to do with ping checking, is issuing an incorrect RCON command for BF4. MULTIbalancer reports ALL RCON errors, from all plugins, at Debug Level 7. There's no way to tell where they come from, so you see all of them.

 

If you find the culprit, the problem is that they are trying to send chat to a specific player, but they are using this format:

 

admin.say NH4ME "Missing ping" all

 

when it should be:

 

admin.say "Missing ping" player NH4ME

Yes, you are the culprit! :smile: Top Scorers is independent of determination of Strong. It's just the top 1, 2 or 3 players of each team with top scores, period.

Your method could work and it is crucial to set Only Move Weak Players to True, but it distorts all of the rest of the workings of the balancer that require strong players, like unstacking or scrambling. It's only useful for balancing. Edited by maxdralle

Are you sure your Whitelist is correct and that you have enabled On Whitelist?

 

When you are in a round with several of your members, type tags into Show Command In Log. You should see all of your clan members under your tag name. If you don't, something else is wrong.

 

Also, you can type lists and whitelist into Show Command In Log.

 

Post the results of all three commands as a reply in this thread.

What do you consider "good"? Like post #1 says, you have to think about what style of play you want MB to support: minimize complaints? intensify games and have close endings? scrambling?

 

Read the FAQ Getting Started: How to do your first setup and give that a try first. Your situation is a bit unusual, in that it is high tickets, Rush and Metro, all special cases for MB. Nevertheless, the Settings Wizard should give you a start.

 

For now, disable Unstacking and ignore the unstacking adjustments in the per-Mode Rush settings.

PC, my avg was around 64.5 for the most part but after further testing is at 65 now and from your post #1031* you suggest 15-20 seconds so hence why I was mentioning 45-50 give or take. Now you say 10-15 which is of course as you say now is 50-55, so is it now 10-15 or 15-20, I'm going to guess it's 15? or 50 as I have it set now currently.

Thanks for the reply. there does seem to be quite a few ways to tweak setting with the options you already have in the plugin. I'll adjust the low pop ticket settings and monitor. Thats the inly issue im running into. unstack not kicking in low population.

 

But, rather than do it that way first, I was curious if it could be set as a percentage of the max adaptive server size. That way it would still use the medium and high settings when there miht be 8 players and adaptive server is showing it is a 16 player server

The balancer is always on, so 0 seconds. :smile: That said, the balancer only moves players who are dead and haven't spawned yet, so if no one dies, that could cause a delay. A more likely cause of delay is that everyone who is dying is exempted or excluded for some reason: moved recently, only weak players being moved and they are strong, clan tags, whitelist, new players are in the queue waiting to join (MB always favors balancing with new players rather than moving existing players, but that takes time), etc.

      Changes to US-East:

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.
