So far, every time this sort of problem has been investigated, it's proven to be more of a problem of players remembering incorrectly or misjudging how much time has past. Or, you've recently changed settings that cause additional moves to happen.

 

The easiest way to investigate is to use the Show Command In Log command: moved. It will dump a report to plugin.log of all the players who were moved, how many times in the current round and total, and how long ago the last move was. If you see a lot of cases of more than 1 move per round, further investigation will be needed. But I think you'll find the players complaints to be bogus.

 

That said, your settings could cause additional moves to happen. Do you use any form of Dispersal, like Disperse Evenly By Rank? That could cause additional moves to happen which ignore Minutes After Being Moved. Are you using Unstacking? That could also result in additional moves. If in doubt, post all your settings.

 

As a last resort, you can change your Debug Level to 6 and collect logs for a couple of days. Then you can investigate each move in turn to see if it was expected.

yes, i do use unstacking, disperse evenly by rank. my settings are more aggressive, but i had no idea that these settings over come the exclusion.

 

would the plugin be able to priorities off the exclusion players in the future ?

Sorry, I'm not planning on changing that. The logic is complicated enough with the number of settings I already have. I'd have to add a ton more settings to allow special exceptions for when, for example, certain exclusions should be applied or not applied depending on which dispersal type is being used. There are so many combinations of all of those different trade-offs that covering all of them would be too hard.

 

So the basic rule is, if you set up for any kind of Disperse Evenly, you are saying that is more important to you than just about anything else, including exclusions or team balance. Whitelist is the only exception that always applies no matter what your other settings are, but even that can be configured down to specific actions, like whitelist only for unswitching, not for balance (recommended).

That depends. As explained a few posts earlier, Disperse Evenly can make your teams unbalanced. If you set it to a value other than 0, you are saying it is more important to you that high ranked players be split up evenly than it is to have balanced teams. It also may move the high ranked players more than once per round and may move near the end of the round.

It moves whichever one dies first.

Try changing Only Move Weak Players to False. If you only move weak players, you only have 70%of each team available to move, since you set top to 30%.

 

Also, I can't tell if you have unstacking set. You should disable unstacking for Rush, unless you have more than 400 tickets per stage, 300 if you only have 32 players max or les.

Yes. If you have the Top Scores exclusion enabled, the top 3 players on each team won't be moved, but everyone else will.

 

BTW, setting top to 30% has a negative impact on unstacking. It means that when unstacking needs to find a strong player to move to the weak team, it will have a smaller pool of players to draw from. May never find one.

so should change it back to 40% ?

its just as it stands now each round the average ratio is between 110% and 130%... thats just perfect each round is even and very intense

If it's working, don't change it. I just want to make sure everyone understands how each setting has an impact on balancing and unstacking.

I just copied the contents of multibalancer into the BF4 plugins folder on our layer and restarted it.

 

It is showing as version 1.1.2.0

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January.       I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
