I don't know if I like it.

With an example name of ./common/server-banner/image-bannersid2w0h0cc0.png the following .htaccess file ...

Code:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)(sid)(.*\d)(w)(.*\d)(h)(.*\d)(cc)(..)(.*) $1.php_$2=$3&$4=$5&$6=$7&$8=$9 [NC,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)\.png $1.php [NC]
... would turn it into ./common/server-banner/image-banner.php_sid=2&w=0&h=0&cc=0 which is the easiest way to display the default image using this new arrangement. It works, but the thing which stinks is that it is harder to explain the optional URL parameters when talking about file name instead of query string.

EDIT: A better solution in my opinion:

Code:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)(sid)(.*\d)(.*) $1.php_$2=$3 [QSA,NC,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)\.png $1.php [NC]
It puts only the absolutely most required information in the file name (Server ID). Then, all the optional parameters are still usable in the query string. Only the rare server which cuts off the query string won't be able to use those optional parameters. image-bannersid2.png_cc=US becomes image-banner.php_cc=US&sid=2

The good thing is that either way will not break any old working images anyone may have sprinkled anywhere on the internet in the past. The old way keeps working and the new way just becomes to more desirable way for this user who reported this problem.

I will be releasing the update once I have thoroughly thought everything out and it is ready to be released.

In ./common/server-banner/.htaccess (not ./common/server-banner/images/.htaccess) you put:

Code:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)(sid)(.*\d)(.*) $1.php_$2=$3 [QSA,NC,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)\.png $1.php [NC]
Then look at https://freiezocker-clan.de/bf4stats...bannersid1.png .

It works, right? It won't work in the stats page yet because the stats page isn't yet modified to look for the new file name.

Just leave it alone and wait for me to release an update. I was hoping that you could test it for me, but I can test it for myself using an Apache server which works for 99.9% of the rest of the world. If it still ends up not working for you, I will no longer worry about it since it is clearly an issue with your web host in the first place being overly paranoid and breaking things which normally work.

Update released!

Changes:

- A rare server configuration was reported which chops query strings off of .PNG extensions. Restructured file names [for server banner image and signature image] to place the needed information into the file name instead of using a query string. Old way still works, but new way is now displayed and recommended.

- A .sql file is included in the ./test-database/ folder for users to set up a dummy test database to test this web page when they otherwise have not yet set up a server or have not yet got XpKiller's Stats Logger plugin and database working.

As always, the link to the most recent version is in the first post of this thread and is: https://github.com/tyger07/BF4-Serve...zipball/master

Changes:

- tyger_stats_cache tables are now more robustly indexed to provide better performance

- many re-cache trigger periods dropped from 12 hours to 3 hours in order to display more recent data

To apply the new tyger_stats_cache table changes:

1) update to the latest stats webpage code

2) while no one is viewing the stats webpage, drop/delete the 5 database tables which start with "tyger_stats..."

3) view the stats web page to allow it to automatically rebuild those tables using the new table building commands

Otherwise, if you only update the stats webpage code and don't delete/rebuild the tyger_stats_cache tables, the stats page will continue working as is (but with the new shorter re-cache trigger period).

That is correct.

It is possible that the stats page could be designed to have all the text in a separate dictionary file, but that is not the way it is currently designed.

You need to stop them from being logged. If you're logging using either using the stat logger plugin directly or through AdKats there are options in each to disable this.

XpKiller's plugin settings in Procon -> Log Serverspam -> No

The webstats page just shows everything in the database. Change settings so that it isn't recorded in the database, and then it won't display on the stats webpage either.

Recording server spam in the database will greatly increase the database size and reduce database performance over time, so I suggest disabling that option anyway.

Which part of it is not appearing properly on you mobile device? Can you provide a screenshot?

For me, in landscape mode, the viewing eperience is good on my phone and tablet. While developing it, I made sure that it would display properly down to 1024x768 resolution. Part of making sure it worked at low resolutions was spent on reducing the number of columns displayed; such as removing the playtime column to reduce display width and to reduce database load for a stat which isn't recorded exceptionally accurately by xpkiller's plugin in the first place.

As such, if you upgrade to this version from an older version, the top 20 leaderboard player caching will no longer function correctly until you drop the `tyger_stats_top_twenty_cache` table from your stats database. Please do so. After doing so, the stats page will automatically rebuild that table with the extra missing column. If you do not drop the `tyger_stats_top_twenty_cache` table from your stats database, the stats page will do the slower calculation and try to recache the top 20 players at every view.

Additionally, a combined stats country stats addition issue was found and fixed.
