Installation Instructions

Configuration

 

Announce admin

Enables or disables the announcement of a admin joining (global)

 

Announce admins name

Enables or disables if the admin should be identified by name.

Use %name% as placeholder in your message.

 

Check admin privileges

Enables or disables to check if a joining player is on the account list and

has the right to do temp. bans. Therefor he is treaded as admin.

 

Announce bans

Enables or disables announcement of VIPs who have entered the game to all players.

This function first checks the list given by the plugin and then the reservedSlotsList of the server.

 

Announce bans

Enables or disables the announcement of bans to all players.

Will only announce bans of players in the game. Banning offline players will not be send to chat.

 

Announce kicks

Enables or disables the announcement of kicks to all players.

Will only announce kicks of players in the game. If a banned player tries again to join

the resulting kick will not be announced. The first kick of a banned player will not be

announced because the ban will be announced first.

 

Only named bans

Enables or disables the announcement of only bans on player names.

If disabled also EA_GUID and PB_GUID bans will be announce with the players name.

 

Enable onSpawn message

Enables or disables that a message is send to a player every time he spawns

 

Show round duration

The plug-in will announce the duration the actual round is running.

 

Round Interval (min)

Sets the interval in minutes to show the round duration information.

 

Show server uptime

The plug-in will announce the actual server uptime.

 

Uptime Interval (min)

Sets the interval in minutes to show the server uptime.

 

Show In-Game

Select Yes to have the above information send as chat message to all players.

 

Show on Chat-Tab

Select Yes to have the above information displayed on Procons chat tab. This will also show up in an enabled chat log.

 

Spot players

Will enable chat messages spotting players joining during pre-round mode to inform waiting players.

 

Spot on Chat-Tab

Will show the spotting also on the chat tab if you do not want to enable join/leave messages there

 

Console output

Enables or disables monitoring of messages send ingame on plugin console

 

Debug output

Enables or disables some more debuging output

 

Quiet mode

Enables or disables in-game output. If enabled Console output is enabled to.

Console or Debug output must be enabled while this is enabled.

*Info pop-ups done by this plugin target the procon initial running this plugin.

While installed on a layer host this will be the layer host. As a result there can be

situations where those info pop-ups block saving of settings or reactions.

Much appreciated even on such a simple plugin done to satisfy two simple tasks.

 

Well, i'm thinking about adding a respawn counter not to spam the message after

every death which can get annoying.

Not with the v 1.1.0.0. There is only the ban announcement.

I have to look at it, as it should prevent to announce a ban of player

Troublemaker if i has announced him to be kicked off the server.

No problem.

Think of {0} and {1} as placeholders as that is what they are.

If they are included in a message they will be replaced by the name of the player ({0}) and the reason why he

was kicked. ({1}). Having this in mind the sentence

Code:

Player: {0} was kicked for: {1}.
will be completed by the plugin to

Code:

Player: BadPlayer was kicked for: Making to many trouble.
Take a look at the settings and there on "Msg on bans" and "Msg on kicks".

There you see how they are used. You can change the messages to your own

but keep in mind that {0} is for the player name and {1} for the reason.

You are right.

But that should be no big problem as i have done the plugin to check the length of the text.

The manual entered message is limited to 30 chars because a say or yell message is restricted to 100 chars,

the reason for ban/kick you can enter is limited to 80 chars and a player name can take up to 16 chars.

That's what the rcon documentation says. So limiting to 30 chars is a bit fuzzy over all.

 

Furthermore the plugin detects if a ingame message is longer then 100 chars and cuts it behind

the 100th char to make sure the message is displayed. It is best to place the reason at the end as it can

get truncated.

Well, may be you can be a bit more specific.

 

Remember the goal of this plugin:

It should announce the entry of an admin to all players to have them noticing that an admin is

with them. Second it should send a message to a respawned player in intervals to make some

announcement, for example "stand up and fight" or have it announce your clans webpage.

 

If you want to greet a joined player better use the "message based on playername" plugin as

mentioned above.

 

So what goal do you connect with having an entry of a preferred player announced to all other

players?

As far as I know, there is no possibility to change this. But your kick-reason seems a bit strange to me, maybe there's an error within you gamefiles. I guess you'd better ask your Game Server Provider about that.

The interval does not mean a time between sending of different lines of the spawn message.

The text field is intended to be one line. If you enter more than one line you will see that all

text is displayed in one line if you have finished what you entered. If your text is overall

longer than 100 chars you should receive a pop-up which warns you about that.

 

Remember this on spawn message is intended to spam a short message to a respawning

player. Some use it for their clan page url or to remember about a ts server.

 

The interval defines to show the message to show after how many respawns as it can get

annoying to be spamed on every respawn. So you can set it to only be displayed on the second,

third or what ever respawn.

No, this is intended.

I dislike it if plugins chat with a player but you can not review what is send as say or yell to the player.

Therefor this one updates the chat tab.

 

Hmm... to do an update to have a switch to enable / disable that shouldn't be hard.

Nope, i had this reported also with R-28 but only in rare cases.

I have no clue how sends this, the client or the server, but i tend to say the server.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
