edit- as embarrassing as it is, I am going to leave my post in-tact just in case someone else searches this. I forgot that this was the alert feature, my bad.

Thank you for the great plugin.

Haha yes that's on by default but you can turn that off if it's not for you :smile:

i think it's quite strange that a map with equal votes wins. Yesterday I had a vote of 3 votes and every vote was for a different map. I don't remember which map won but the map with 33% of votes did :biggrin:

Is there anything planned to correct this issue?

No, this is not an issue as it has been designed to do this. If there are more than one map with the highest number of votes, then the winner is selected at random out of those maps with equal votes.

Currently you cannot do it in the plugin settings. The reason why it has the slash is that it stops the command from showing in the chat box or the voting options would scroll out of sight everytime someone voted.

If you still want to not have the slash make the following change in the xVotemap.cs:

from

Code:

private void ProcessChatMessage(string speaker, string message){
            CPrivileges cpPlayerPrivs = this.GetAccountPrivileges(speaker);

            Match match = Regex.Match(message, @"^[b]/[/b](\d)");
to

Code:

private void ProcessChatMessage(string speaker, string message){
            CPrivileges cpPlayerPrivs = this.GetAccountPrivileges(speaker);

            Match match = Regex.Match(message, @"^(\d)");
and comment out or delete:

Code:

match = Regex.Match(message, @"^\d");
if (match.Success && message.Length == 1 && m_boolVotingStarted && !m_dictVoting.ContainsKey(speaker))
{
       this.ExecuteCommand("procon.protected.send", "admin.say", speaker + ": If you are trying to vote, you seem to have forgotten the / in front of the map number.", "player", speaker);
}

I've got a Problem, we are running a 64 Mixed Mode (CQ/R) server with R19.

When I enable xvotemap I get 2 votes at the end of the round. The first vote with gamemode in brackets: "Metro ®", the second without "Metro" but with different Maps. So everytime someone votest he gets 2 votes on different Mpas an nobody knows, wich map is winning.

And now i turned xvotemap off in the Procon-layer but it is still starting votes (without any debug output on procon).

I hope you understand my problem and can help me, i will provide debug logs tomorrow if i've got the time.

v1.2 and i've got 11 maps in the rotation.

From my understanding of how layers work it would have to be two Procon servers. The layers wouldn't cause that.

If it is still happening attach a copy of the plugin log at debug level 5 and I'll get to the bottom of it.

Thx for this awesome plugin! :smile:

We run a server with Metro Rush and Conquest only. When the vote is ended it shows in the text: "You voted for "Metro" or next map is "Metro". Is it possible to add the mode "Rush" or "Conquest" too? :huh:

Thx for the help!

Anything new in this case? :huh:

I was just about to make a reply about that :smile:. Would be nice if it showed the gametype when it says Nextmap is: ...

This has been done. Working on other portions of the plugin. Will probably release tomorrow.

Example:

current maplist: only popular maps.

vote maplist: classic and B2K maps, etc.

The winning map is set as nextmap without changes the normal mapcycle (if it not exist on the current mapcycle)

  • Added: Information link with Ultimate Map Manager to ensure the voted map will be the next map if the maplist needs to change and it is still in the maplist.
  • Fixed: Remove current map bug.
  • Added: Improved map options display. Should reduce the chance of very long options.
  • Fixed: Gamemode should appear throughout the in-game message, if turned on.

I'll put this on the wishlist. It would require a decent amount of work to implement so it would get done when the more pressing issues are sorted and I get some spare time.
