In addition, you will have to restart procon to get TS sync working again.

I would pay for this =)

When I get time to actually work on the plugin, I plan on fixing what has been said in the past few threads, plus implementing this (as it was already asked for a while back). So no worries. However, unless there's a fatal issue, then I won't be touching this plugin until around December. Sorry.

Also, I'm with Cliff on the need for more advanced channel options because as it stands you cannot use TeamSpeak's userfriendly Whisper To "Complete Channel Family" as a radio system because the guys on the other team will get your transmissions (plugin currently requires every channel to be in one channel family). It is preferable that each and every channel can be assigned in a custom fashion so that if a user really wanted to, he could have eight different channel families...or more.

Yup. I've seen a few variations of syncing up BC2 and BF3 servers with team speak, using external php, C++, or C# programs. They work well (some listen on rcon constantly, others just poll the server occasionally). This plugin was meant to work in conjunction with Procon.

@People being moved from any channel

Known issue. Sorry. Will address in next release.

@Plugin saying ridiculously long string of numbers

What? Explain?

@Plugin bouncing certain people back an forth

Was a known issue in BC2 due to some weird (wrong) information being sent by the server occasionally. I have not had the time to look over the BF3 protocol and how well it works. Although, I've seen instances where the BF3 protocol does not return valid information, making it seem as though the player has no IP, or EA_GUID.

@Whispering to channel families

I understand the issue with needing a greater variety of channel management... I plan to implement this. You'll have to either wait a month until I can find the time, or use a stand-alone solution (as mentioned above). Also, could you not set the Team channel as the parent, and only whisper to it - I haven't messed with this functionality.

@Not finding staging channel

Oddly enough, make sure you're connecting to the correct TS3 server. If, for some reason, you have two TS3 (virtual) servers running on the same PC (for like, an admin teamspeak server or something), you might be specifying the port for the admin server instead of the normal server - in which the channel names would more than likely be different. Otherwise, make sure you are spelling the channel name correctly (uppercase and everything).

@Everyone

I plan to work on the plugin eventually, but I'm very very busy at the current moment. Anyone is free to modify the source code and upload their work here (throw your credits in there too). It's heavily commented (although not pretty), and I'm more than willing to answer questions about the source if you have some.

Typically the plugin will say "Moved by Odin". Maybe that is supposed to be "Moved by Admin"?

When I was away for several hours, the guys said that instead of hearing "Moved by Odin", it would say "Moved by 89629561257896109561512" and they said that before stating some long string of numbers it would state my TeamSpeak username. So it would say, "Move by Fifty5Guns 89629561257896109561512" or some such.

I turned the plugin off and turned it back on after 10 seconds and everything was back to normal.

Nah, I randomly named it Odin. It normally says "Moved by [query login] at [ip of ts3]". Sometimes the renaming doesn't work right and it says "Moved by Odin at [ip of ts3]". Not sure if this string of numbers is what your users are talking about or not. As for the Teamspeak using their username... I've no clue.

@Bazza

I can't say more without looking into this personally. Is there a time I could meet you on your teamspeak? Please give the timezone as well.

(2) For some reason Light Speed does not allow clients to add to the white_list.

@Drayu

It should be... 12 people who are in teamspeak that are also in the game.

EDIT: And now that I re-enabled it...it will move people to the staging channel from any channel in TS when they join. Actually it is a cool feature if I could choose to enable/disable :smile:

2 people with the same ip, only 1 gets put in the proper channel.

The other never seems to more, even with the BF3 and TS3 names are exactly the same.

It bounces you around a lot it seems. I think it does this when you die, as this seems to be when it happens.

Sort of annoying if you have TS3 announcements on by default.

One of the biggest issues is that the plugin moves people out of rooms that have nothing to do with the gaming channels. I have tweaked and tweaked the settings again, and this is a persistent issue.

Moving people out of channels is a known issue. The plugin not working after 'x' time is more than likely due to either connection issues between Procon and the TS3 server or the white-list on TS3 not being setup correctly.

The server provider said the IP is whitelisted properly.

I am admin on a teamspeak server, where we have some channels where we want to sync users with and channels where we don't want to sync users with. Both channels have (almost) te same channel name, except the non sync channels have "(non-sync)" in the channel name. Strangely enough the users get synced in the "(non-synch)" channels, right where we don't want it.

I would also like to know (just my curiosity) how this plugin matches the players ingame. Is this by game/nickname in BF3 and TS, combined with the user's IP-address?

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

      We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

      You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

      Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

      If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
