When I pull a new map list, it doesn't seem to pull the proper map. It leaves out Oman which was the first map on the existing list and calls it Grand Bazzar. Then there are no b2k maps on the drop down list. Then later I see b2k Sharqi Pen. on the list and it drops down to only show 3 b2k maps...all but Oman.

 

I assume this is my bf3.def so i'm going to find a newer version if i can (but i do see all those maps listed in some fashion). I don't need to restart anything but procon to pick this update up correct?

 

I appreciate your time in helping me resolve this issue.

Yes, it is a game mode. Did you close/restart your local PRoCon client after you updated the BF3.def on the server? If not, try that.

That seemed to do the job. Easily burned through my donation with time wasted on these simple issues. :sad: Maybe I can send you a little more beer money once I get some time.

The "Start with random map" option does't seem to work for me. It always starts with the first map on the list.

Can you confirm this by looking at the console log? The plugin should send a "mapList.setNextMapIndex" command immediately after the "mapList.clear" and all of the "mapList.add" commands. If random is set, the index shouldn't always be 0.

I also donated - looking at your movie I think its a little bit complicated to edit big cycles. What about entering a simple text file containing the cycle - as an option?

No, this is impossible, as the BF3 server does not pass along what map packs the players have installed.
