Yes that's what I've actually done  but you need to create custom presets in some cases up to three of them for a 5-6 map rotation and also work out the amount to apply.

The other plugin you can specify a ticket amount for a specific game mode and it sets it regardless.

I run about 5-6 maps in a 1 round rotation and want 800 tickets on all of them, I had to work out the percentage and apply custom presets for any maps that varied in the ticket count. I did look at your adaptive ticket count plugin but gave up on it as I was having to manually go through cut/paste the ticket count for 64 players, plus it would have meant making changes to two plugins.

Only a suggestion

I appreciate your suggestion, but I have no plans to implement this, considering there are already 2 ways to do it. Setting up Adaptive Ticket Count can be time consuming for a 64-player server, but once it's set up, you don't have to jack with it.

Is that issue still active or it's fixed? I'm having some problems with xVotemap and I don't know if it's the vote map it self or that.

I believe it still does this. They were supposed to fix it at some point, but I don't think they ever did. Maybe the next server release will address it.

I have set the fitting settings but the map manager wont change the maplist.

What could be the reason?

I have restarted the plugin several times.

What I didnt do was deleting the current maplist.

Could that be the problem?

Also we got the server resetted.

Any help?

Greetz!

Not enough information. Please refer to the Support section of the first post.
I dont know what I can say more: The map manager simply doesnt change the maplists. Thats it.

here is the console log:https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4934308/UltimateMap.txt

here is what the plugin console says:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4934308/ult...%20manager.jpg

So - even if more than the said amount of players are on the server - the maplist doesnt change.

Also: Even if the manager says it will change the maplist - it doesnt change.

Based on your screenshot, you're not running the latest version of the plugin. That's probably the cause of your problem.

I now installed the current version of the plugin.

It still doesnt seem to work right.

I made a video showing what its doing - not changing the maplists.

It cant be otherplugin related too, since I turned off every other plugin after that video and tested again.

What I could believe its related to are the preset settings - because I have a lot in there.

Its allways sth like this:

"

# Custom Preset: hardcore vehicle150tick 170 32 players

punkBuster.activate

vars.serverDescription Hardcore I Rush I B2K and Vanilla Maps I 150% Tickets

vars.friendlyFire true

vars.idleTimeout 0

vars.teamKillCountForKick 0

vars.teamKillValueForKick 100

vars.teamKillValueIncrease 20

vars.teamKillValueDecreasePerSecond 2

vars.autoBalance true

vars.killCam false

vars.miniMap true

vars.3dSpotting false

vars.miniMapSpotting true

vars.3pCam false

vars.maxPlayers 32

vars.idleBanRounds 0

vars.vehicleSpawnAllowed true

vars.vehicleSpawnDelay 150

vars.bulletDamage 100

vars.nameTag false

vars.regenerateHealth false

vars.roundRestartPlayerCount 1

vars.roundStartPlayerCount 2

vars.onlySquadLeaderSpawn true

vars.unlockMode "stats"

vars.soldierHealth 60

vars.hud false

now the maps change according to the number of players

....but the settings wont....

And now I am not quite sure if the settings changed at all in the last days.

Procedure: I first set up two new mapcyrcles:

First one for 0 players - Grand Bazaar

Second one for more than 0 players - wake island

I used the presets I allready set up.

Result: The maps didnt change.

Then I created some new presets and run them with the above mapcyrcles.

Result: The maps changed!

Then I copied the input from the disrupted presetsi into the new one - and the maps didnt change again.

So the mapcyrcle error has something to do with the presets.

Now I delete half of the defective preset and try to run the mapcyrcle again with it.

It now works. So I am adding line for line again to find the line who is accountable for this error.

After I put in all lines again - the mapcyrcle still works......

Now where is the sense in that? The preset that before stopped the mapcyrcle now functions with it?

And it seems that now the presets change the settings too! It definately did. But why it did so and why it didnt do it after is not open to me.

That just doenst make sense.

I now change the vehicle spawn times to in the preset to see if it changes the settings in the server too.

The maplists still change. But the serversettings wont.

I dont know why this is not working - but its clearly not working as intended.

Maybe I dont have enough rights to write on the server but then - one time it works the other it doesnt.......

Advice?

Ps: I dont have to mention that I turned off the plugin before every change to mapcyrcles or presets.

I appreciate your very detailed description of the problem and debugging, but I will still need proper logs to see if the commands are being sent and how they're being responded to. Specifically, I need the PRoCon console logs from your layer server (not your local client) with EVENTS enabled.

To turn it on, you need to edit these lines in procon/Configs/procon.cfg

procon.private.options.chatLogging True

procon.private.options.consoleLogging True

procon.private.options.eventsLogging True

procon.private.options.pluginLogging True

and this line in procon/Configs/server_ip_address_port.cfg

procon.protected.console.settings True True False True True True

Then, you need to download the log from the server, zip it, and upload it here.

It does switch to the large map list (Conquest Large) correctly, but I'm wondering if the server code has disallowed the changing of size or if perhaps there's an update needed for the plugin to get it to work.

You're saying that UMM used to change the slot count? I didn't know that and haven't seen an option for that. I use Adaptive Server Size to change slot count. UMM still changes maplists based on player count, etc but never has it changed the actual server slot count but using these 2 plugins everything works great.

It didn't really.. You just thought it did.. In previous server versions, when you changed to those game modes, the server would report only 32 players to PRoCon, but it would still show 64 in Battlelog. Now, the server reports properly to PRoCon.

You're not imaging it!! This issue was a bug with the server build and not UMM. The issue has been fixed!

Are we definitely sure this is fixed? Seen some odd behaviour, let me zip the logs and send them to you Falcon.

I have no plans to do this. Keeping track of every map played to try to prevent repeats isn't truly "random" and this can be managed pretty well already if you set up your rotations properly. My recommendation is to make your map rotations somewhat similar, then choose the "Start with map after the map that was just played" option. This way, any time the map list changes, the position in the rotation will remain roughly the same, so that the map you just played will not be played again until the entire rotation has been completed.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
