People don't generally mind afk players if each team has the same number of them. But if they are mostly on just one team most players won't stay in the server very long.

I suppose I'd suggest setting it fairly high at something like 7 as that gets a lot of info but shouldn't get the ridiculous amount of output.

before 10:24:42 actually short an idler on each team.

at 10:24:42 player leaves, shows all idlers and him leaving

10:24:45 shows 0 idlers,

10:27:39 I move player that showed neutral in procon

10:27:45 shows all idlers

possible improvements..

 

Removing inactive players from squads

- Add a toggle/switch to be able to turn on/off this behavior

- Add a text/chat message that gets sent to a player when they are moved out of the squad (in case they are a camping-sniper type that just hasn't scored, spawned, or chatted lately

 

One the developer/debug side

- Make the debug output a clean/clear list of the detected idle-seeders at a fairly low debug number setting

- Develop a nice summary block that can be output for debug at low debug number

In the most recent modifications I *DID* add the ability for the plugin to essentially treat anybody that is idle in the server as if they were a designated seeder. If you turn on this (its optional) it will try to balance any/all idle players between the teams.

 

Regarding BF4. I no longer rent servers so I haven't done any testing with it on BF4 yet. As far as I know, it should probably work just fine with BF4. Some possible reasons that it might have trouble is that it might give strange results with game modes or similar things that I hadn't considered with BF3. Any of those *should* be easy to fix once I hear that there is a problem and have a bit of access to debug and fix it. At the moment, I don't have access to any BF4 servers for checking/testing.

Along with adding the ability to treat all players (if they are idle for designated amount of time) as seeders and balance them ..... I also added recently an option for the plugin to just go into "simulate mode" so that it shouldn't actually move or kick anybody. If you want to install and give a test run of the plugin on BF4 it would always be a good idea to put it in simulate mode for a few minutes and watch the plugin console log to see what it's trying to do.

As I said to you in-game and via PM..... you are running conquest mode. I have a suspicion that I might need to make a few changes for certain modes such as GunMaster to fix logic that detects how close you are to the end of the round. But for conquest, I'm about 90% sure that it should work essentially the same as it did for BF3. So I would recommend go ahead and run it and just let me know if you notice anything strange.

-5 setting is still working for kicking seeders on gunmaster maps...

 

I am running into another issue and may have found a way to stop some camping...

 

Issue is I am trying to use 2 or 3 minutes to make people idle and is an issue if server has very few players, very few players means little interaction and live players are being admin killed when switched to neutral.... tends to piss them off till they realize... would like to be able to set idle time in relation to number of players 5minutes for 4-6 all the way to 1 minute for 20 players or so...the 1 minute would be for 16-20 players , it would tend to stop camping as camper not seeing anyone would be auto killed after said minute... just a thought :smile: ... ( I do not care about camping but there is always whine)...

 

as always you still have access to my layer via teamviewer, etc...

 

BTW trying out new comms by razer, works well... -WalkInDead- is the group if you do install it...

To me, it would make more sense to just create a separate plugin that would give you the anti-camping behaviour that you are looking for. Basically something that kept track of apparent idle time, and could admin-kill the players with a message explaining what was happening and why.

 

Hopefully I'll have some time to mess with this stuff after I get home from my Christmas travels.

been like that fore hours now.

 

it is either not triggering a balance check mechanism when there is team difference in the seeders (3 : 1)

or the name of players being similar is confusing the plugin ?

Not sure what you mean.

 

The plugin tries to evenly disperse the seeders.

 

If you have an uneven number of seeders it will place that extra seeder on the winning team (if set to tickets in the settings) for conquest and to the attacking or defending team (whichever you set) for rush (if I'm correct)

 

I only fixed the actual 'admin.move ' / balancing of the seeders, because that was completely broken for BF3 & BF4.

Even more bizzare this never really worked for us, I think it because there really wasn't a post explaining how to utilize the options for optimal or basic use.

For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use.       Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
