Are you connected to a layer?

If so, the plugin has to go in the layer's Plugin folder(s), then restart your layer.

If not, have you restarted Procon after copying the files?

In your Country list remove the blank space in your list where it is showing [0] open it and clear the space above your list see if that helps, so it's showing a country in each slot like [1] Russian Federation if it was in the right spot would be showing as [0] Russian Federation and your total number of country's showing would only be [0] to [5] then.

 

The Country kicker wont stop them from joining the server it just means when the plugin does a server scan it looks for the country's on the list and it's an instant kick instead of the average ping kick which takes longer, though i see yours is set to instant ping kick.

 

After doing the changes un tick the plugin and re tick it, might help reload the change.

You can't set a delay to the no ping kick, it's either kick with no ping or don't.

As for the whitelist, you can't use clan tags, just in-game names, and if you don't know how to add to the list, simply click the "..." button to the far right of the whitelist option and enter one player name per line. Also, whitelist will not protect from no ping kick.

Hmm interesting, I haven't been game to turn it on after the last time I tried it, luckily I was hovering over the untick box as I waited to see what it would do and yep it started to empty out the 64 slot server.

 

Nice LatencyManager(1.0.1.12) is now sort of working working as intended, just tested it while tentatively hovering over the turn it back off tick box and it only kicked one player the one with -1.

 

Though it's working as intended it is still kicking commanders on a tablet as they have -1 ping.

 

xFaNtASyGiRLx make sure you have this version LatencyManager(1.0.1.12) or it wont work correctly the one you have might be an older version and double check you don't have commanders on tablets amongst that group.

 

 

 

 

Do we know why players show up in server sometimes with -1 I see a lot of foreign players with -1 and I'd love to keep them out but I also see a lot of Australian players that have -1 as well.

There can be lots of causes for it, sometimes the ping isn't just 0 but shows as -1 (which can indicate no ping or an extremely high ping). Usually the reason behind it isn't anything to do with cheating, however, it could be used as a way of masking your ping in a sense. For example, if you play on a US server from Europe or Australia etc., your ping on the server is going to be reasonably high, this could give you an advantage due to the "netcode" issues. By blocking your ping you effectively avoid being kicked for high ping and can therefore play on servers outside your country, possibly causing lag in the server and even having a lag compensation advantage over other players.

 

As for kicking them, that is entirely up to you. If you would like to have this enabled but don't want your whitelisted players kicked, I wrote an Insane Limits limit that will do it ...*

What did you copy?

 

Their is two files which you need to place into the correct folders for it to work.

 

I'm just going to guess you mean BF4 if so look at the below for file paths on the FTP if for BF3 then replace BF3 where I have BF4.

 

procon/Plugins stick this file CLatencyManager.inc into the plugins folder.

 

procon/Plugins/BF4 stick this CLatencyManager.cs file into the BF4 folder.

 

Reboot the layer and you should see the plugin sitting in your procon ready to configure.

 

Once you set it up and use the settings that best suits your needs then when players enter who have over the ping limit it will kick them.

 

Or if you choose to use the country side of it you can add country's to allow or disallow.

 

Here is a sample of what's inside my config file for this plugin, everyone runs them differently though you will need to work out settings that suit you.

i believe i did exactly that.

i am running a BF4 locker only server. i took the .inc file and put it in the /plugin/ folder.

i took the .cs file and put it in /plugin/BF4 folder as well. it seems it refuses to show in the plug in folder.

 

i had this before with many plug ins however, ever a procon layer restart, they always showed up. this one simply refuses to do so.

 

i even tried the entire process while the procon layer is shut down.

      Changes to US-East:

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
