Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

Ok thank you. I guess I was confused not seeing a new section to add whitelisted players (in my case for spambot). After scrolling through the list of commands in the manual I now see that I have to add them with a command inside the game.

 

Thank you for your quick replies. BTW, is there any way to disable spambot from showing in Procon chat log?

The entire system, aside from settings, is designed to work through in-game commands. One of the 85 available as of 6.0.2.3.

Is there a setting that I need to make to fix the lag or freezing. I really do not want to give up on the great program, so if there is something that I need to do, I will. I am currently running version 6.0.2.3 but it is also doing this on the last stable version of 6.0.0.0.

 

What do I need to do to fix this issue?

The database setup script requires both triggers and stored procedures, there is currently not another way of doing it.

You are still getting this issue with 6.0.2.3? A major cause of that was found and fixed in that test version. What orchestration settings are you running? Are you using ban enforcer?

You said 'migrate' which makes me believe you're moving an existing database. If that is the case you should be aware that NFOservers.com has limits on how big a table can be. For this purpose, their 'unlimited' mysql databases most likely means unlimited number of databases, not size.

 

If your server has any traffic at all, I would suggest NOT using NFOservers.com for MySQL hosting though their 'unlimited' webhosting which comes along with a game server. Even if you purchase the biggest hosting package available they are not able to accommodate large databases, like the stats logger creates. Get a VPS with them and you'll be happy.

But in the specialplayers table the duration is one week..

 

Changing my rulz in the proconrulz plugin to avoid that little duration problem.

Thanks for the testing, this is why we have test versions. I'll look into this issue.

And older post, but we have exactly the same problem. The server and layer are rebooted by our hosting provider and after that no punishment can be assigned to any players that played the day before. The question is -- since XpKiller's Stats Logger plugin is mandatory anyways and all the players that ever played on the server are stored there -- why not query this info and take the player data from the database. What extra information is stored in memory that cannot be taken from the Stats database or cannot be added easily to the database?

 

If it's not planned to be implemented yet -- I would like to add this as a feature request (where can that be done_) :ohmy:

I'm already looking into this issue. It's a memory usage problem for some layers, storing player objects in memory after they leave. Of course the database is queried for players, but not everything can be queried every time. Especially for slower database connections that seriously slows down the program. It will be fixed soon.

I don't know about others, but we have to ban a maximum of maybe 2-3 players per week. Even if I would have to wait for one minute for necessary queries to be made this would be much better than wanting to ban someone after a the daily layer restart by our game server provider and NOT being able to (being a coder myself I would assume the slowest possible query to fetch required data for a ban from a remote SQL server would not take more than a few seconds -- at least if you know the exact player name you want to query for).

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January.       I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
