Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

Firstly, please update to the latest test version, that message is made easier to understand there, and fewer numbers in the way.

 

Keep in mind this will only work properly on a single map, or on maps with the same number of flags (if you want it really accurate).

 

You use the numbers it spits out on the chat tab to find your 'window' to start the auto-nuke triggers. Since tickets go down in conquest most of these numbers will be negative, it means the number of tickets the team is losing per minute. We can't actually know how many flags they have, it has to be calculated.

 

Usually the winning team will be 999 to -5 flag tickets lost per minute, for a winning team they will be losing almost 0 tickets from flags. The losing team on the other hand is where you need to practice with this. Monitor the ticket loss rates during a baserape, where you want it to trigger, and set up your window to contain that value.

 

For exmaple:

 

You notice for a baserape that the losing team is around -60 tickets per minute. So try setting your 'window' for the losing team at -55 to -65, or something along those lines. Just make sure the numbers you see during the baserape are inside the window you set. If you get the window values mismatched it will automatically correct it, for example if you try to put -50 in the minimum, and -60 in the maximum, since -60 is less than -50.

Please open an issue on github for ticket based nuking on github. We can discuss the details/funding there.

Port 587 is common for gmail, but i'm not sure about normal ssl. Have you tried port 465?

its not gmail, its the webserver/mailserver from our hoster

The faction randomizer assigns random factions to each team, given some restrictions.

 

For the source weight errors, prophet knows how to fix that. It has to do with unbanning from the GCP, it's a temp/permaban code mismatch.

I think, we have some misunderstanding...

Player writing !assist command. AdKats move player. After helping team, AdKats move him back.

We need to disable moving back after assisting.

People who are not admins, but are still donators have a normal reserved slots, that gives them queue advantage (not direct join on server). !join for non-admins allows them to switch to friends, only on the same team.

Adkats plugin is fine but it's dependency on XpKiller's "Procon Chat, GUID, Stats and Mapstats Logger" Plugin creates a problem.

 

Xpkillers plugin returns a lot of errors (u can find many examples on here) and the "non official" version just crashes procon so unfortunately I cant use the Adkats plugin.

I seem to be having a problem with ban sync again and have verified that my server groups are the same in PrCon stat logger. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

If there was a way to easily remove that dependency then that would have already been done. What do you mean it just crashes procon? What errors do you see?

You have an error injected by an old version of the BFAdminCP, please talk to prophet. I would suggest checking your server groups in the tbl_server table itself to make sure they are the same, also make sure you are running the ban enforcer on both servers and they are on the same database.

If BF1 does come out with support for RCON i'll be helping with that transition, for both Procon itself, and with my plugins. It's just the prospect that this is the end of RCON support, or procon in general, that really kills my interest in keeping things updated/fresh.

I don't think that DICE will release BF1 without RCON support. It's still based on the Frostbite engine. They could do that IMHO only with a completely new game engine.

nah they could easily just disable RCON support or the RCON ports on any server and then thats gone which would make us completely unable to administrate our servers if the wouldnt implement any kind of "in-game" admin tool

 

i really do hope they leave the RCON support in, it would suck without

 

i dont want any server without AdKats anymore, its just simply the best way of administrating a server

I agree, that DICE can easily disable RCON support, however think about it few more seconds. Why DICE would want to do that ? Who will buy a BF1 server without any administration tools ? I will not buy a server on which I will not have a live administration rights. I really doubt that DICE is considering to remove RCON support.

CCC explains how to use the enforcer near the end of the readme in part B21.

 

At every state of your server (low, med, high population) you will find an almost empty text part. Just write -100 beginning from line 13 (equals 1PM). The -100 means that you reduce your set up maximum allowed ping by hundred. Do that for all the population states and hours you like.

I added a setting to help figure this out. At the top of the ping limit settings there is a setting that shows the calculation of the current ping limit based on the population modifiers, and also what hour number is associated with the current time. It will be 0 at midnight layer time, and 23 and 11PM layer time. You set the list of modifiers based on how you want it to change during those hours.

 

Like this. say i want the limit to be 100ms higher from 5am to 10am layer time, and 100ms lower from 2pm to 5pm, for some reason.

 

This would be what shows up in that list. There are 24 lines, one for each hour of the day.

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January.       I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
