Would be kinda nice if the balancer would NOT switch people once the ticket count got below a certain threshold. Perhaps 10 tickets or something, maybe admin/user defined value for this.

 

The other day I had a squad-mate that had been playing on my side for maybe 4-5 minutes. My/our team won the round. He was in my squad and on my team right up to the point where it said to me "your team won". But he was switched right at the last possible microsecond and he got the message "your team lost.

 

Now...I'm not to worried about people getting switched to the losing side. It has to happen sometimes and its just a game after all. But..... that last millisecond switch was kinda shocking to see and got me thinking that True Balancer (and other balancers) really ought to have a minimum ticket threshold where it goes into "pause mode" and just lets the game/round end instead of switching players when there are only a few tickets left.

You can spam messages like this using either the spambot plugin or using punkbuster commands. You will not be able to do it using the True Balancer plug-in.

While I'm sure the developer(s) could code it to do this, personally... I hope they do not do that. I think it is useful for the players on the underpopulated to know that help is on its way. The messages let them know that something will be done shortly (so don't leave the server too soon thinking that nothing is happening).

Exactly what I came here to say. This option is an absolute must, especially for larger clans like TKC that have people joining all the time. Thanks.

I've confused myself (not unusual) and need some help, please! We use TrueBalancer with a whitelist on BFBC2 and it's ignoring the whitelist so I think I have a file(s) out of whack.

Download the zip in the first post.

Extract to your Procon folder and maintain directory structure.

 

In the zip file:

\Plugins\TrueBalancer.inc

\Plugins\BFBC2\TrueBalancer.LevelStart.inc

[etc..]

 

In your procon folder:

\Procon.exe

\Plugins\TrueBalancer.inc

\Plugins\BFBC2\TrueBalancer.LevelStart.inc

[etc..]

You can install it from the package tab and not have to worry about any manual setup you realise?

BTW, can we uninstall a plugin? I didn't see that option on the Package tab. I just went into the folders and deleted the files myself.

Thats the only way to delete afaik..

 

Make sure you delete the .xml file in the packages tab also.

well dead players.. thats a whole other plugin again.. how do you know they are dead or just sniping
