Interesting, I tried something like that a few weeks ago. I changed the 32 to 64 in ProCon and applied the change. It was showing up as 64 in Battelog, but all the players that joined after the 32nd player were stuck sitting in Neutral and were unable to join either team or spawn in.

That's because the round started at 32. You can't change the server size to a number larger than what the round started out or you will experience that bug. If you had just restarted the round, it would have worked fine. That's why this plugin set's the server to it's max size between rounds.

Your server settings are fine. Sometimes servers disappear from Battlelog. It's a known server/Battlelog bug. Just restart the round and it will reappear.

Hi there, I have never been able to run the old maps on 64 player Rush? how could I achieve this? I basically get to the old map and 32 players get kicked.

Thanks for your time.

Normally, you just set all the maps in a rotation and set the number of players at 64. Maybe it doesn't work if you mix old and new maps? I dunno. I've played on the old maps with 64 players, though. You can probably find a server now if you search.

Thanks falcontx, I should let you know that I have the battlelog filter set to show 64 slot servers , but when I restart the round, you are right, it appears in battlelog as a 64 slot server, but it soon disappears again because the server has reverted back to an 8 slot server when it refreshes, it doesn't stay as a 64 slot server with battlelog filters set with 64 slot.

When I enter the command vars.maxPlayer 64 it also reverts to a 64 slot server but again at the very next refresh it reverts back to an 8 slot server and drops from battlelog with the 64 slot filter set.

My 64 slot server does not show (in Battlelog or Procon) as a 64 slot server, it shows as an 8 slot server when it is empty.

Sorry to be a pain

Oh, well that's normal. If you tell Adaptive Server Size to change your server to an 8 slot server, then of course it's not going to show up in the 64-player filter.

Ok then, thanks for that, but what I do not understand is if you have a 64 slot server why on earth would you run a plugin that is going to turn your 64 slot server in to an 8 slot server until you have 41 players in the server when it will actually show 64 slots in Battlelog. Sorry but it just might be that I don't understand what it is suppose to achieve, it seems quite useless to have a 64 slot server not showing in battlelog as a 64 slot server

EDIT: By the way I have had the plugin running for over 12 hours now and it is still empty, no one is joining

[14:29:37 92] AdaptiveServerSize: IDLE -> 1 players online. 0 players joining. Server size set to 8. Round started at 64.

Am I suppose to set the server like

Server size with 0 players ........ 64? I dunno because at the moment everything is at default setup

If you don't like it, don't use it. It's as simple as that. However, the goals most people try to achieve with this plugin are either 1) keep the size 5-10 over the current number of players in order to capture those using the "Free Slots" filters and/or 2) keep the size at 125 to 150% of the current number of players in order to get more QuickMatch players (as it's theorized that QuickMatch prioritizes servers that are mostly full).

Again thanks for that, mate I didnt mean to offend you, each to their own, apologies to you. So if I have all of the settings as default with 0 to 6 showing 8 and 7 to 9 showing 9 then that is correct, with 0 players in the server the server should show only 8 and not 64 slots?

EDIT: I don't know if it will work or not but I have set the size with players from 0 to 4 as 64 then with 5 players it reverts back to an 8 slot server to hopefully pick up the Quick Match players, setting it like I have shows in Battlelog as a 64 slot server.

Your thoughts greatly appreciated

Not sure what you mean by "7 to 9 showing 9", but basically, whatever number is in the right column is the size the server will be when the specified number of players are online, and that's what it will show in Battlelog.

You'll need to be more specific and provide logs. Please refer to the Support section of the first post for details.

Sounds like a Battlelog bug.

Seems to me that the serverstatus is processed later than it is delivered, but commands are sent directly to the server. So it may happen that:

the Plugin stucks on 12/12 players and wont accept more players.

the gameserver has 14 players on while plugin/procon is still proccessing a playercount of 8 and sets the server to 10 players -> 2 will be kicked.

Even say Battlelog entries with 64/8 slots!

In the beginning I had 12 servers running on one Procon instance and those problems accured 3x per day and server. Disabling the plugin, setting serversize manually and reenabling the plugin was my workaround.

Now I have split up my Proconsetup with 4 Instances where each controls 3 gameservers. This seems to work much better - had no complains from my members since 4 days.

Another point is RAM usage. Procon uses more RAM the longer it runs. After 4 Days one instance used 5,3 GB. So I recommend a automated restart every 24 hours....

How does one set that up?

Plenty of ways you can do this. Either on your GSP CP or use a plugin like Automatic Round Restarter which has options to restart the server as well.

i really recommend this plugin to everyone cause it's a miracle worker. it helped me fill the server fairly easily with the help of 2 other clan members. great Job Mr falcontx

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html
