Something to note though, if you set vars.gameModeCounter to '200', it applies to all modes you're running, including Conquest, Rush, etc

I find that to not be true in my case. We were running a Conquest Large and Rush rotation with vars.gameModeCounter 200. Conquest was double tickets, Rush was the normal 75. Tried it time and time again with different maps and had the same result. Removed vars.gameModeCounter 200 and Conquest went back to normal tickets and rush stayed at 75. I have seen other users post this symptom as well on GSP forums.

It still does not work properly for Obliteration, however.

I changed 'Units used for ticket count' to "Percentage" as you suggested and it does work fine with Conquest and Rush.

In the Adaptive Ticket Count section I have everything set to 'No' except for Rush.

I set the Default Ticket Count for all numbers of users set to "100".

I set the Rush Ticket Count for all numbers of users set to "200".

When an Obliteration map runs, it sets the number of tickets to 6 -- 200% of the default ticket number. As a result, the map never ends unless it is manually changed.

That sounds right since the new BF4 game modes are not currently supported.

Is there a Beta forthcoming?

Additionally, I thought the plugin was designed to assign the Default Ticket Count if a map and/or mode was not present. Since Obliteration is not on option, shouldn't it default to 100% since it's not present?

Eventually. See post #408.

almakiller, an extra set of eyes on this would be appreciated to make sure I haven't f'ed anything up too badly....

BF4 Map Modes.zip

Only one issue I see so far and that is that you list tickets for US, CN, and RU on maps where one of those will not be there, but I am sure that does not matter for this purpose (just may confuse some people that may want to use it for other things). I will do a random check on some of the values this weekend to double check, but going from memory everything looks about right.

Yeah - I wasn't sure how to capture that. My understanding is that any 2 factions can randomly(_) battle each other on any map/mode.

That was my crude first attempt; if need be I can reproduce the list again with all 3 possible team combos (USvsRU, USvsCN, RUvsCN). It's not a big deal to do as long as the ticket counts are valid.

It looks good. The ticket count shouldn't vary based on the faction. In normal Conquest modes, the ticket count is always equal on both sides. In the BF3 expansion packs, the Conquest Assault modes had a different ticket count for each side (attackers vs defenders) because the defenders started with all of the flags.

I can use this to update ATC, but I'm currently out of town, so it may take me a week or so.

Cool; yeah, I forgot about how CQ Assault would skew the ticket counts in BF3. One less thing to contend with in BF4, I suppose.

Glad I could be of assistance.

Two posts before this (and multiple times in the thread) he has posted that he is going to update it. First he needed a ticket count break down for all the maps/modes, which he now has, and then he said "I can use this to update ATC, but I'm currently out of town, so it may take me a week or so." and that was yesterday.

No biggy if its a known problem, like I said we'll just wait for the proper BF4 update. :-)

I have it "mostly" working. I have a mixed-mode server (CQ, OB & Rush) and have the 'Adaptivec Ticket Count' set for all modes to "No" except for Rush which I run at 200%. But sometimes OB or CQ get set...rarely...to 200% or, conversely, Rush doesn't get set to 200%. It's particularly bad when in OB there are now 6 objectives per side and the game becomes never-ending.

I don't see any pattern of when it happens either; it's pretty random and rarely occurs but it happens often enough to be a PITA.

If so I think I will just use the simple command repeater to send our gamemodecounter as well until this plugin is updated, and DICE get things working more reliably.

Im not sure if this will change later, or if it has changed since R7, to actually allow more than three real objectives in Obliteration. Maybe it's a bug, and later we'll be able to set 5 objectives instead of 3, I don't know. Not sure about Elimination.

However, wouldn't you need to have Obliteration present in ATT to have it send the Obliteration map into 100% when switching from, let's say, a 500% TDM map?

They're probably using Ultimate Map Manager with a custom preset that runs vars.gamemodecounter 200 between each round. Running it between every round is the only thing that seems to work. Once I get ATC updated, it will do the same thing.

This question should really be posted in the UMM thread, but no.. You can make a custom preset for every map if you want, so you can specify the tickets (or any other setting) for each one.

As for this plugin, I'm good. Just need a little more time. Donations do provide incentive, though.. lol :P

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
