It depends on your number of tickets. The larger the max tickets, the larger you should set the unstack percentages. However, I wouldn't go above 200%. If one team has 800 tickets and the other has 400, no amount of swapping is going to make for a happy server. It might narrow the gap, but lots of players will rage. 120-150 is good.

 

You should also increase the definition of Early and Late phase (see previous post) and make sure the percentages for Late phase are 0,0,0.

 

As a rough estimate, you should shoot for 1 unstacking swap (so that's two player moves) for every 100 tickets of max tickets. 600 tickets should be set to 6 swaps max. 1000 to 10 swaps max, etc.

Because you have Disperse Evenly For Rank >= set tp 145. Change that to 0 and that won't happen anymore. You also won't have dispersal of Colonel 100, but it sounds like you don't want that anyway.

 

That said ... I think there is a defect in move counting also, similar to the clan tag bug -- it is respected for balancing, but not unstacking. I'll fix that in the patch as well.

Thanks, I'd love having the disperse evenly for lvl 145 guys, as long as that means 145 colonels DO NOT keep getting switched, maybe if it had a limit of 1 move/unstack per round that would be nice for next version. :smile:

It would also help if admins read the documentation. Yes, this plugin has a learning curve (I don't completely understand it myself at this time).

Yeah, it's looking like the Presets and defaults work fine for most game modes, particularly 32 player or less, but not for Conquest Large at 64 players for more than 400 tickets. Maybe I should add a Preset Wizard for Conquest Large 64. You enter your max tickets and whether you want to minimize complaining/rage quiting (true/false) and it adjusts the Conquest Large per-mode settings for you. I guess I could make that be an any-mode wizard: enter your mode, your max tickets, and whether you want complaining/rage quitting minimized.

 

I think I'll change the default for Disperse by Rank to be 0, also. That's another big source of QQ.

Forbid Switching to Biggest Team to False while leaving WInning Team to True

 

and notices a lot less QQing in chat and EOTR results. Will keep monitoring today and see if the trend continues.

In that case, isn't RoundSPM the same thing? It's just KPM multiplied by 100. :smile: Unless you think medics rezzing people or recon detecting people skews the SPM too much. I got most of my recon detection medals playing Metro ...

To be honest I think RoundSPM is a better measure. Rezzing and capping is just as important as killing. AT least this is what we find with our server.

Agreed. :smile: Those are both configurable settings. The default is 10 minutes. The "50 tickets" is mode dependent, but generally covers the last 25% to 33% of tickets.

None of your settings will be changed either way, this is just a big throw-switch to turn the whole feature on or off.

 

The motivation for this change was the observation that some admins are trying out the plugin and abandoning it due to complaints from players, no doubt in large part due to unstacking not being fine-tuned. So let's start everyone out with unstacking off and then admins who take the time to study the settings and learn how to fly his Space Shuttle cockpit complexity plugin can opt-in to using unstacking. I should have done this the first time around. You don't get a second chance at a first impression!

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.
