Are you running Official mode? If not, what are your Scrambler settings?

One problem is that in Conquest Small, you have Disperse By Rank set to 1 instead of 0. Set it to 0 and see if the problem still happens.

 

Is there something else that might be doing a scramble, like TrueBalancer or an Insane Limits? Some other plugin?

 

If it happens again, after the next round starts, type scrambled into Show Command In Log and copy/paste the plugin text to a post. It should look something like this:

There is a way to disable autobalancing for the last 100 tickets, but I'm not sure what the rest of your request is about.

I understand the request, but I'm not feeling good about making the changes. MB gets beat up a lot for having too many settings. This would add quite a bit more complexity. To do it right, either the Exclusions or the Balance Speed 3x3 array would need to take the time of day into account. To hack it, I could do it the way you suggested, with just some additional special-case settings. Either way, it's a lot of work. Most I would consider doing at this point is providing a way to change the value 4 to something else.

 

Would you consider just whitelisting the regulars who you don't want to get moved? They could always move themselves if you get into the server dying state.

I think what clan member were looking at was this shuffle of players going up during the 45 second count down at the end of the game and I don't think that is plugin related.

Yeah ... if you call that working. :smile: This is an excellent example of how the Keep Squads Together restriction doesn't allow much flexibility in scrambling. The teams are almost identical to what they started with in the previous round, with just some squad number changes. But that's expected when you keep squads together.

I believe in this configuration it would wait until there is a 6 person difference to switch to fast or until 240 seconds has passed before flipping to fast.

 

As for whitelisting, right now we're trying to figure out how to manage whitelists for many different groups of volunteers / donors / members and adding another list to maintain across all servers is going to be problematic in it's current state. But your idea has struck a chord with me... I will work to expand the whitelist by clan tag as that will likely be the easiest method.

I don't know about the wisdom of it, but it is factually correct. YMMV. In the server I used to run, if the server was unbalanced by 4 or more and it wasn't fixed within 30 seconds, people would bail. I haven't seen a lot of patience. :smile:

Unstacking is an advanced feature and requires a big investment in time and effort to do correctly. There is extensive documentation in the FAQ, in English, and English-speaking people often do not understand it, so it may not be possible for you to set up correctly.

The last time you posted, you said the ticket difference was too large. That's not the same thing as unbalanced. Which problem are you trying to solve, ticket difference or balance?

Feel free to try these settings, copied from what I'm using on a 64p Conquest. Games won't always be even, but this tries to aim for the compromise between people whining about being moved too much and games being blowouts.

The movement doesn't need to change, you just need to make it stop moving people in late and/or mid phase. Modify what early/mid/late phase mean in terms of tickets and this issue will go away.

Several things you can do about the top scorer:

 

* Make sure your Late Phase: Balance Speed is set to Stop,Stop,Stop and your Definition of Late Phase As Tickets From End is set to a high enough value, higher than 35 anyway.

 

* Make sure the Top Scorers exclusion is enabled, though that only protects up to 3 players (fewer if your server isn't full and more than 32 slots).

 

* If you wear clan tags, make sure Same Clan Tags In Squad exclusion is enabled.

 

For the bad players, there's not much you can do. The best you can do is reduce the frequency by making sure Only Move Weak Players is False. You should do that anyway, since setting to True cuts the pool of eligible movers by Percent Of Top Of Team Is Strong.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
