Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

Found the problem - I checked the events.log and saw the line "Events logging started: Sunday, 30 August 2015 09:35:48" which gave me a time to start looking for. Then checked the plugin.log for around that time and saw "[09:35:45] [MULTIbalancer]:0 ERROR: Unable to append to log file:"

 

I was using a program that would periodically copy the log files to our web server so other Clan members would have access to them. I believe the program was locking the file when it was copying it and multibalancer couldn't write to the file when it was locked and it would then crash Procon

Not sure why that would have caused all of procon to crash, unless it was using procon to do that logging instead of doing it manually. Glad you found the issue.

Did they just release another rpk? The only rpks i know of are the rpk-12 and the rpk-74m

 

Talk to prophet about the webadmin error.

Can you please tell us where did you updated the damage stats ? I'm asking because I still see 6.8.0.10 version when I have updated AdKats, and I still see those warning messages.

I really want to know how people with these names are getting into the servers. That's why i added that warning message. Nobody should be able to set their player name to something like that. Only alphanumerics, hyphens, and underscores are allowed, with a max of 16 characters.

dont play much bf4 recently but last time we were testing bf4 again i went for the AN to level.

dunno how the damage of "46" has been calculated but it has to be wrong. server is always HC though...

 

until its fixed i got to turn off my beloved admin tool...

 

/is it possbile that if two bullets in one packet arrive, the dmg is calculated once and not as for two bullets? just a thought.

You can always whitelist the player, /hcwhitelist perm playername.

 

I can look into the statistics more for hardcore only servers, looks like this is an edge case.

 

EDIT: You will not see an incorrect hit count due to damage being packaged into the same update.

Whitelisting yourself is a measure to take until i've patched the system further, it's not a permanent fix. The only information on hardcore servers i've received are from other communities, and while i've received a lot of feedback i've never been able to test hardcore directly.

 

HSK bans have a minimum of 100 kills, so if he's getting banned with less than that it's not through my system.

it was a dps ban :ohmy:

A dps ban on a pistol with less than 100 kills on a hardcore server, that means he triggered it by getting more than 275% normal damage with that pistol, and even higher than that if he was getting headshots. Please send more info so i can understand how that could be an invalid ban.

Sorry for the late response.

 

There might be a new cause for this on that map. Do you have kill logs for your players so you can look at what kills led to this?

 

Or, is there a new pickup weapon on that map that isn't on battlelog yet?
