Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

  • Usually the only time someone complains about ping is when the player is doing well. What about a check to see how well the player is doing? If the player is in the top X% of the scoreboard, and ping is missing, a kick should be issued. Yes, they could just reconnect but as they start to do good again they would be kicked again.
  • A combination of all the above with flags that are admin-selectable.

Im curious, does their ping actually show up in the server? If not is your firewall blocking ICMP requests on the outbound connection? If you are blocking ICMP requests on the outbound connection then that would explain the high amount of ping kicks. AdKats gets a timeout error and so it sees it as it can't ping the player.

One way to check is to actually ping the players IP address. You should have the players that were kicked for it so you can grab a couple of those players ip addresses and manually ping those and see if a response comes back.

I'll look into this, thanks for the logs, although this appears to be isolated to your instance only. What happens if you don't bypass the SpamBot minimum duration and set it to 60 seconds after performing a layer reboot?

I will try one thing first, a minimum duration before kicking for missing ping. Right now missing ping is instant kick, it doesn't use the average duration setting to handle it. Perhaps players will not have the missing ping issue if we wait for a little more time after they connect to the server. If that works, there will be no need for another setting section.

it shows up in the recent bans but the users do not have a ban in their profile

i enabled the populator perks for reserved slots

Both InsaneLimits and ProconRulz can use AdKats commands. There is a basic method, and an advanced method. Currently only the basic method is possible from ProconRulz, IL can use the more advanced one. For the basic method you basically fake an admin command using a hidden admin say.

 

Firstly, enable 'Allow Commands from Admin Say', in setting section 5.

Secondly, make ProconRulz issue a hidden admin say with the command:

AdKats will accept and issue the command with full access rights, and the issuing admin name will be "ProconAdmin".

I'll look into the first error. I'm not sure about that second one, perhaps a rendering problem with the webadmin.

I dont see or feel any negative effect of that error message, that's why I was asking for "what is this".

When I pull the bans im looking for command ids of 7,8,72,73. So perhaps his commands tables are messed up and are set differently with respect to the actual command?

Modifying the tbl_server table is not advised unless you know exactly what you are doing.

With ban enforcer enabled they do have a ban list in procon, by name search, it's setting section B13-3. There is no option to use PBGUID. Also, if you use setting lock, all other setting sections get hidden beside that one, making it easier to find/use.

Didnt edit it back to default, as it's obvious it couldnt be the issue.

Today, the entire day, this error message didnt show up...

Don't use the optimal values for BF3, they have been only tested on BF4.

 

Enable display of ticket loss rates in setting section A12. Watch those values during a baserape, and use them to set the windows for losing/winning team for auto-nuke.

For using it in conquest/domination modes always enable using adjusted ticket loss rates, which are the ones (in parenthesis). The ones outside are the raw ticket loss values.

That freeze problem is strange. However, user names need to have the same formatting as a soldier name in battefield.

Battlefield soldier names cannot be empty, max length 16 characters, and only contain alphanumerics, hyphens, and underscores. What user name are you trying to add?

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
