Could it be that because the "names" of the map types changed and you did not update the plugin?

Restarted Procon to install the bf3.def* file, just as the server changed to a Wake Island ConquestAssault64, kicking 32 players.

Using Procon 1.3.2.5. Not tried the plugin update yet. Will do now.

It would happen on any Assault64 map without the update.

No idea without more info, logs, etc. Refer to the Support section of the first post for the necessary info.

Strange, can you tell me what Settings you have at "Players to start" and "Players to restart" and Size at 0,1,2,3,4 ? Would be great, we do not get any quickplay traffic and our Server already fall in Gametracker Rank from 80 to 205

Ok with that i dont get ANY one on. I had 1 Player to start and 0 to restart. Changed to 4/0 now, and will see what happens. Did they maybe change that, because of the PREround feature?

In my config I still have the same as the above.

Even though you will get quick connect players coming on Most of the time I still have to jump on my server as early as I can to help it get kick started etc, other wise players will just connect then leave when they find there is no one on.

I normally use a Conquest map like Golf of Oman with high tickets to keep the players as long as possible.

Alot admins are still using this plugin according to this www.phogue.net/forumvb/showth...-Usage-Reports*. We are still using it and it has helped.

We noticed that after the last patch we had difficulty getting our server started and last Friday it was aweful, finally got started around 10/10:30pm eastern time when it usually would around 2/3pm. I put in a ticket to our game provider and they wrote back saying to try to restart the server a few times which we did but I also changed up the plugin. Instead of going 0/32, 1/32, 2/32 etc...to 30/32, then switches to 31/37 and so on. We now do this and it seemed to work on Sunday, can't say fully if this is helping but seemed to 0/32, 1/3, 2/4, 3/6 by twos until 18/32. You want to stay in the quickmatch que of 1-5 open slots. We also had about 10 players regular pubs and platoon players get on too. If you dont have the player base then that is really going to hurt you also, if one or two of you just get on then you are going to have a hard time no matter what you do. Also, we do start the server off Rush gametype.

Falconx is still the developer for this and he is still here, but right now I think he currently is working on his Adaptive Ticket Size plugin as that needs updated the most right now.

Hopefully this will work for you....

We had to do the opposite. I have tried various methods to get the jump start. Current player number +2 or +4. Standard server sizes like 16, 24, 32, 48, and 64. Start with +4 for quickmatch and then just show the full 64 slots. All these don't work 100% of the time. Some nights in a row one method works and then no traffic. Another week another method works.

Currently our server starts in TDM mode until a certain number of players and then shifts to CQ Small and then to CQ64 once a certain number is attained. We were running the +4 method for about 2 weeks and could not get the traffic past 20 players. So I just changed it to 16 slots up to 12 players and then 24 and moved up in chunks instead of +4. We are now gaining traffic back again and peaking out with a full server (64 slots). So gametype can be an important variable too.

It also doesn't help more and more people are stopping playing this game and the last patch did not help much. A lot of regulars we have had in the past do not even get on Battlelog anymore. So unless you have a gimmick server that is 24/7 something or 5,000 tickets or have a clan that can push out 20 members playing at a time it seems it is hard to maintain a full 64 slot server until more clans/groups purge from the number of servers available.

Now since 2 days without any change, we do not get quickplay traffic anymore, so if you dont have 5-6 players that can join in the morning it is almost impossible to fill up. What i notice is, if you swap map with like 3-4 playing, it fills faster (but players are anoyed of coz) and if you turn on/turn off the adaptiv every like 30 secs so you have like 4/32/4/32/4/32 pleople join to, maybe to take this option in Adaptive Server Size plugin?

In Gametracker our Server is on 200-250 so quite hard, and i think we are gonna drop it, as i dont have the time to get on the server every day like 2-3 hours just to get it startet.

So server is showed as 0/64 with conquest small in battlelog. Any chance to fix this so we do not have to change sdaptive max size from 64/32/64 manually every day?

You can use Ultimate Map Manager to automatically switch from Conquest Small to Conquest 64 once a certain number of players has been reached.

I'd be reluctant to add that since this is the first time I've ever seen it mentioned. If others can duplicate your claims, then I'll consider it.

Adaptive Server Size allows you to specify the max number of players for each game mode. It sounds like you should make it 64 for Conquest Large and 32 for Conquest Small.

But the 32 slots with CQS seems to draw more players than just having current player count +4. This is why I wonder about Quickmatch. It seems, at least on our server, players care about the total size now. If it just shows some odd number it seems players don't join, but by keeping with the usual slot numbers we are improving again. Especially if it is CQS with more than 32 slots and players. Some regulars leave when the server fills up to 40+ players, but others only join once it reaches that point. It is just really finicky players and just hoping the regulars show up along with your clanmates.

No idea. Without logs, it's difficult to even guess. Please refer to the Support section of the original post.

Also, here lately, it's impossible to start any server without at least 5-6 seeders.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
