He is indeed Colonel 100, but I don't want other 100's to be affected as well. :sad:

 

I want something like this: Team A is losing, change player X, if it happens again, keep giving priority to move that player X.

 

I don't want to ban him off our server as we don't ban people for being skilled, but this guy is beyond skilled with jets and he really unbalances our server, so the only thing I can think of to get rid of him is have the balancer annoy him all the time.

That would be interesting to have, a list of players who you know will empty the server from being so good. We have plenty of players like that, the problem is you would have to admin kill them to call the move because most of the time they don't die during a match. This could be viewed as a personal hitlist though, as those players are the only ones targeted. Don't like somebody? Boom, on the list, they'll never win a match on your servers again. Just saying it could be abused, there are some terrible admins out there and now they have a seemingly invisible tool for their own benefit.

Honestly, it's either forcing them to losing team all the time, or banning him, and I don't think it's fair to ban someone because he's good, but I also don't think it's fair he empties my server almost every night...

 

So I'm not quite sure what to do to be honest...

If I remember correctly no balancing can be done when the server is full because in BF3 there is a "holding"/"temp" team (whereas there was in BC2) to move players too if that makes sense. It may be that I'm remembering incorrectly or Charlie worked his magic and found a solution for it.

Have you tried the Keep Clan Tags In Same Team setting for Scrambler? It tries to put all the same tags on the same team, but if that unbalances teams it can't do it. For example, if your clan has 12 players playing and the server only has 20 players, it can't put all of your clan on one team.

 

There are also problems with locked squads and the game server doing some unpredictable stuff, so it won't work 100% of the time. But it will try and most of your clan should end up on one team every scramble.

I've only used this plugin sparingly so can't really comment, but are the default settings good for most? What would be optimum for say CQ and Rush? Other modes? I used to use Insane Balancer back in the day so need something robust for BF4.

Have you tried using the Settings Wizard? That should simplify setup of the plugin, particularly if you run multiple modes, like CQ and Rush.

 

Also, leave Unstacking disabled. That's the biggest cause of complaint if you haven't tuned it carefully.

I have tried most combinations, and there seems to always be something that makes it kind of useless, don't get me wrong, you have done an amazing job with the plugin, but my head explodes every time i try to configure it.

 

It also balances my clan-mates, even though i have them in the white-list and reserved slots list.

 

There is so much going on, and i just feel like it should be more simplified , if that is possible...

 

And when using the settings wizard, things get disabled, and when enabling the settings disabled the preset gets disabled for the unstacking preset, and that just makes my head go round and around lol! :biggrin:

Disable the white listing on the reserved slots!

Just add your clan tag to the whitelist :ohmy:

 

Multibalancer is nothing short of awesome if you want close games IMO :smile:

 

We still get people moan about being shifted, as n00bs want the last joiner to be team swapped etc..

Just put the correct messages into spambot! Telling them theyre awesome players if it swaps them,

and that it wont swap them anymore for 90 mins etc etc...

I have seen this happen if you have turned rank dispursement on, and your friends are lvl100 (145).

 

Its a conflict, you tell them to whitelist, but then you tell the balancer to split them cos of the lvl100

If its turned on, then disabled it :smile:

 

If the balancer splits people who are whitelisted, it is usually because you have a conflicting setting elsewhere :biggrin:

This is due to not every map having the same max tickets. Some have 300, some 200, some 350, etc. So unless you are running a plugin that forces each map to have exactly 1000 tickets, or you only run one map, or you only run maps that have the same max, you need to specify a different highest max and the lowest max. So for example, if you have one map that is 300 and another than is 350, you highest would be 350 and your lowest 300. If you have gameModeCounter set to 200, then your high would be 700 and your low 600.

 

If all your maps have the same max, just use the same number for high and low.

 

Make sense?

I'm not sure what you mean by "first scramble". You can't do two scrambles between rounds, that would really cause crazy results.

 

If you can turn the during-round balancer for Insane Balancer off and only use it for between-round scrambling, that would be ok. You must disable MB's scrambler in that case.

A forced balancing in early fase. I have seen when my server is going empty, often the teams are unbalanced due people are leaving. I have seen this problem this morning i had 6 people left, 2 in US and 4 in RU.

 

If the players in US are kinda bad, they get raped by RU and wont make any kills, and since the balancer waits till death, none balancing will be done, and the 2 players of team US will leave, and at this point the server is dead..

 

So maby an option with forced balancing till x players are online.

I run team unstacking on all CQ servers, works brilliant, though you need to tune it to each server and ticket count :ohmy:

 

We get a lot of very close down to the wire games thanks to this plugin! Close games were very rare prior to this, now most games seesaw a bit till the last 150-200 tickets!

 

The hardest thing to set the plugin for is the Assault conquest maps, as they can be whitewashed due to capping the flags! The plugin cannot allow for this situation, but you have a max tickets diff now for unstacking to occur.

In saying that though, our Karkand 24/7 Server runs it and most games are very close indeed!

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January.       I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
