Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

Uh....wow, negative 2147483648 damage huh? Yeah i'll patch that, no idea how that would have happened unless the battlelog request messed up giving no hits the first time and all hits the second time, or additionally why it triggered a ban on negative damage. I haven't seen anything like that on our end through the hundred or so bans it's issued in the couple months i've been testing.

 

We've had many valid bans at the 12/13 kill mark, so i have no idea how many it's missing at lower kill counts. It's not 12 kills total during a round mind you, it's 12 with that specific weapon during a round.

FairFight is working in similar way, although I think the trigger is set to much higher value to trigger a FF ban, so cheaters might be not catched for a long time. Anyway very cool, effective feature to catch more cheaters. It catched on my server more cheaters, and when I have veriefied them, then they had very bad reputation on bf4db or they were banned eariler by PBBANS no some other BF3/BF4 account.

 

Question: Is it safe to leave AdKats autoupdate feature enabled ? I'm asking if you are testing a bit the TEST branch (I mean stability, no critical errors, etc.), before you will upload it publicly.

 

Also another question. Is it safe to ignore this error that I've received today ?

Fairfight has access to so much info it should only take a couple kills to trigger. Bullet does more damage than it's supposed to? Boom, banned, do not pass go, do not collect 200. We have to use kill/hit averages and guesstimate bullet damages, it's insane. Damage mods are the easiest thing for an anti-cheat program to catch.

 

EDIT: What's worse is the servers allow kills with invalid weapon codes. I'm not even gonna go into how crazy allowing that is. That's what makes the 'magic bullet' hack possible, and additionally allows people to get kills that don't match up to valid weapons on battlelog thus avoiding damage checks.

 

Anyway i digress..

 

Automatic updates are forcibly enabled when you are running on any test version, and the update will go live when your layer reboots. If something is pushed to the test branch i've already done preliminary testing on my local machine, so no fatal errors should be seen, but new features may still not be fully tested.

 

As for that error, it's not fatal, but it would be good to know where exactly it happens. Please enable plugin debugging on your layer so further exceptions spit out line numbers.

The 100 after live is the health amount of your server. Can remove it later but i've put it there for now to make sure my calculations are correct.

Restarting your layer will fix the issue.

 

EDIT: This should be fixed in the latest version, use /pupdate to grab it.

Just to confirm - I have AdKatz running and I was under the impression that it basically took over all the chat and stats logging from the XpKillers Plugin. Since I reinstalled my backup, it looks like that plugin is still enabled to do the logging. Do I have to manually turn of the chat logging, stat logging, weapon stats etc or will AdKatZ do that for me?

AdKats has the option to take over CHAT logging only, orchestration setting section if i remember correctly, all other logging is handled by the full stat logger plugin.

Hi, i have restart the layer and /pupdate, the problem is still there. :sad:

If I then Delete this is, this is still being displayed. :sad::huh:

Buzz, there is nothing wrong, the spambot only runs when a round is active and there are players in the server. Simply join your server and spawn, the spambot will run. This is to avoid unnecessary log entries.
