Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

Message added by Prophet731,

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

What kind of messages? No errors, testing right now AdKats 7.0+ | PRoCon chat, guid logger | ProconRulz | MULTIbalancer.

I launched it with mono 4.8.1.0. It is easy to get this version:

Code:

yum install yum-utils
rpm --import "http://keyserver.ubuntu.com/pks/lookup_op=get&search=0x3FA7E0328081BFF6A14DA29AA6A19B38D3D831EF"
yum-config-manager --add-repo http://download.mono-project.com/repo/centos7/

yum install mono-complete-4.8.1.0
No, you asked about issues with the plugin auto-updating...and I added debug messages for when you run /pupdate. I need those messages from your server.

That isn't the same error you showed me before. The error before was around paths for the plugin file. What is different between when you got that error and now? Different machine?

Ok. Can you please manually install 7.0.0.3 from the link I sent and run /pupdate anyway. Post or PM me what it shows in the plugin console. All the INFO messages.

Unfortunately not. Right now a player's role spans all servers on the same database, so their powers are consistent across all of them. Adding this properly would take a lot of time too, since you'd likely not just want the role to apply on specific servers and be "Guest" on others, you'd want to be able to select different roles for each server.

Which version did you install? 2.0.3 or the 2.1.0-dev version? If you're running 2.0.3 delete all tables in the database that start with "bfacp_" then reupload the "setup.php" file that's located in the "app/bfacp" folder, after that open the app in your web browser which will run the setup process again.

running 2.03 ... "open the app in web browser" ... I am assuming that means hit the index.php in the /public folder ?

Yeah.

Error in exception Handler ... then the Whoops statement ...

Alright let's do this instead. Download version 2.1-dev here. It's the most recent version I put up and that's what i'll be upgrading from when I release version 3.0. Then delete the install you uploaded and upload version 2.1-dev instead. Once you do, go back to your database and delete the bfacp? tables again. After that download the setup.sql script here and run it on the database. Once you do, you should be able to access the application again and login with the default creds. Follow the readme for getting it connected to your database and configured correctly. Start right after the "Download Now" button. When you get to the random key generator you might encounter a SSL error when trying to visit the URL just click proceed to view the text. Still trying to get the SSL to work and it's being stubborn.

Followed all instructions above and made it to "go time" ... hit the public/index.php and got this:

there was a vendor folder that came with the version you said to load up ( 2.1-dev ) ... so was a clean install of that version; didn't think I had to do anything with the vendor folder.

the vendor folder was "missing" from github version ( 2.03 ) so you had me copy that folder when we were trying to get that version working ...

Ok, just wanted to make sure cause that error is saying something with that. What is your webserver running on? Windows or Linux and what is your web server software? Apache, Nginx, or IIS? What is the PHP version you're running too? If it's version 7 then you would need to downgrade to 5.5.9 since as of now the BFACP doesn't support 7 yet.

Alright, well if you have time would I be able to take a look at it through teamviewer? I have a idea of what it might be but it's a bit too long to write it out. I have about a couple of hours before I need to go to work.

I would like to upgrade bfadmincp to version 2.0.3. which I believe is the most current version. However, I have very little skills in doing this type of upgrade and previously had a webmaster set up the first version. I have several questions for you if you could help me please.

You state that I need to have the following to upgrade:

•MySQL Database (5.6+)

•AdKats v6+

•XpKillers Chat, GUID, Stats and Mapstats Logger v1.0.0.2+

•PHP 5.5+

•PHP Mcrypt

•PHP PDO

My webpage is maintained by GoDaddy and below at the server info that I have for the webpage server:

Operating System:LINUX

PHP Version:5.6

I cannot find out if I have the following on this server:

•PHP Mcrypt

•PHP PDO

My database is maintained by a different company and here is the information that I have for it:

• Server: Localhost via UNIX socket

• Server type: MySQL

• Server version: 5.6.37 - MySQL Community Server (GPL)

• Protocol version: 10

• Server charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

Based on this info, can I upgrade or not, or do you need more info from me and where can I find it? If I can upgrade, is there a easy way of doing this? In your documentation, you mentioned something about, " git pull". Can I use this and if so, how do I use it? I have no knowledge in this type of stuff.

Also, is there a way that I can save the old system in case the new system does not work so I can simply and instantly go back to the older version?

Thank you for taking the time to answer, but I would really like to upgrade, but I have no skills in doing so.

I can set you up with the latest version like I mentioned to sixpax12. I should have time this weekend for that. That version is the most latest and has bug fixes that are in 2.0.3.
