Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

uterka is a guy with reserved slot, HP-Hunter74 is not. There is no others messages in other logs, but it should be something like this

Could you explain this? And how can i set the message to kicked guys to let them know why they were kicked?

Admins have no control over this system other than controlling who is whitelisted from that kick by adding people to the reserved slot list temporarily.

Sometimes the server tells you that the players was kicked for a VIP join but most of the time it just looks like a normal kick.

They are given a special message on battlelog telling them that they were kicked for a VIP to join, but that message cannot be edited.

I don't remember how it chooses the player to kick.

We don't have legal access to the source.

 

The server will not kick people who are already VIP, so you can add a slot for them while they are playing on the server to stop them from being kicked. I've added a whitelist explicitly for this purpose, the vip kick whitelist. However, if you add that whitelist to everybody then nobody will be kicked for VIPs to enter and you're back to square one.

What is wrong with the existing system? If players don't want to be kicked for VIPs then have them buy a VIP slot to avoid it. Helps keep your server running and makes the players happy. Kicking noobs from the server isn't the solution.

Wait what? VIPs are getting kicked for other VIPs? That's not supposed to happen. Please make sure that's actually happening because DICE's system isn't supposed to work that way, and I've never seen it happen before.

 

There isn't a 'donator vip' or 'free vip' on the server. They either are VIP or aren't VIP. You need to figure out who on your server should have that. But VIPs should never be kicked for other VIPs to enter.

Of course. I'll be writing up docs for it once it's done. There is a lot going into this system now though so i'm getting development complete before documentation. I'm about 2/3 of the way done with it at this point.

I can't push up table definitions prematurely because they are still being updated, and modifying database table definitions once they are already loaded is more involved than just uploading a code patch.

 

The errors can be safely ignored for the time being, they do not affect anything else aside from the challenge manager. Please leave that setting section alone until I've finished it.

This is precisely what I am looking for, a way to adjust who gets kicked. If the kick could be determined on players with least server total time (using stats), that would be soooooo awesome....

Unfortunately it's controlled by DICE and can't be modified. I believe it picks the last joining player who isn't also a VIP.

Removed your picture because you didn't actually cover your password, just made it darker. I would suggest changing it.

 

I'm not sure why port 587 isn't working, that's the correct port for gmail. What is the error? Just can't connect?

I'll be writing up full docs soon, but here is the gist of it.

 

The challenge system in AdKats is designed to be a multi-server stats-driven way to give players new goals with rewards. You can set up almost any combination of damage types or weapons to be used by players, in multiple tiers.

 

Definitions (What the player must do.)

Definitions are global, not server specific. They define the base goals that a player needs to complete to finish a challenge. For example, get 5 kills with 5 different assault rifles. Each definition needs a name to be created. Once created you can define weapons or damage types on the definition, as many as you want. When adding a damage type to a definition the kill count associated with it is for EACH weapon, not the total kill count, the total count in this example would end up being 25. For weapon count in a damage type that means X different weapons of the player's choosing, with Y kills for each weapon they decide to use. When adding a specific weapon code to a definition the kill count is for that specific weapon only. For a player to complete the resulting challenge they will need to perform all of the kills on the definition for that rule.

 

Rules (How fast the player must do it.)

Rules are server specific. They define restrictions on how fast players must complete the challenge, what measuring system is used for that, whether the rule is enabled, and the Tier for this rule. Each rule is created by choosing a definition to base it on. When you select a definition and the rule is created an auto-generated name is created for it, you can edit this as desired. THIS name, not the one on the definition, is the one shown to players. You can have multiple rules for the same definition if you want. For example, you could have the assault rifle definition above defined in two rules, one completing in 30 minutes, the other completing in 15 minutes for a harder challenge. You can choose between round based completion, minutes based completion, or deaths based completion. A player running this rule will need to complete the defined kills in the given constraint.

You can connect any number of BF3/BF4/Hardline servers to the same AdKats database without issues. Nothing of note to mention about adding servers, it's a pretty automatic process, just make sure you enable stat logger on that new server for a couple rounds before you enable AdKats on it. You can import settings from other servers if you want, using the setting import option in server settings.

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January.       I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
