It's difficult to give tips without knowing your current settings. But basically, you would set up Map List 0 as SQDM with a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 16. Then you would set up Map List 1 as Conquest with a minimum of X (the number you want to switch back, maybe 8) and a maximum of 64 (or whatever your max server size is).

3 is CQ small 8 min 30 max over 30 players will change to list 4

4 is CQ large 20 min 64 max server will never go over 64 players, 64 is the max server size

I also run Adaptive Server Size and Adaptive Ticket Count

seems to be a good eay to get the server going with only a few players.

before u answered i did some try... my server is 32slot with quickmatch option on...Maplist0 SQDM min 0 max 16 and Maplist1 min 22 max 32...so when the players become 23 it switch to maplist1 and if become 21 players it switch to the maplist0? am i right?

how to do if i want to switch back to SQDM map with lesser than 22 players? for example in conquest there are 12 player and it can switch back to the SQDM maplist...

Sorry for my english

No. You have it set wrong. In order to do what you have described, you need it like this:

Map List 0: min 0 max 22

Map List 1: min 22 max 32

oh well thank u...what happen if i do

Map List 0 : min 0 max 16 (SQDM)

Map List 1 : min 10 max 32 (CONQUEST)

that when SQDM reaches 16players switch to Map list 1 and if map list 1 reaches 9 players go back to map list 0?

Yes, but it actually wouldn't switch to Map List 1 until you reached 17 players.

I have 3 map lists:

SQDM 0 - 12 players

Conquest small 12 - 20

Conquest large 20 - 48

SQDM fills up very quickly, the plugin then switches to conquest at the round end, and guess what... everyone leaves.

I guess people just like playing SQDM - damned COD players

Any chance you could make it so we can name the maplists - eg instead of 'Map List 0' we could change it to say 'SQDM'.

this would be really useful for me because we run different event nights on our server where we change game mode and map lists - ie we have a 'sh*t gun night' 'knife night', etc. Basically we have a lot of different map lists and it would be great to be able to easily see which is which (we have multiple people using procon too).

Thanks.

I thought the plugin would get stuck in a loop when setting at the same values.

So I've got mine with an overlap:-

Map List 0: Min:00 Max: 28

Map List 1: Min:26 Max: 64

i ask it because i'm experiencing this and to be sure it is not a plugin bug!

I've had trouble with mine and I think its to an extent I'm worried about using it again. On my 64 man server I had 3 maplists, the first maplist was to start the server so it was on the popular mode TDM. I set it 0 - 55 so that it would be full before it changed to maplist 2.

On maplist 2 I had it set 10 - 55 conquest64 (I'll get back to this maplist in a minute)

Once TDM got past 55 players and was nearly full it would change to maplist 3 conquest with the most maps in the rotation (stock maps as extra, trying to filter them in slowly) and that was set 30-64.

If maplist 3 dropped below 30 it would drop to maplist 2 which had the b2k only maps running which is what made our server popular so it would pick up again if the stock maps failed somewhat. This did work a treat at one point. However 1 time it didnt change to maplist 2 when it got below 30, it took another map change to work.

Another time I had a mix of hc inf and normal in maplist 3 and rather than running wake as normal it changed to infantry and I doubled checked the option and it was correct (although now thinking about it I may have initially made a mistake in having it as inf only when I set it up but I did change it to what I wanted that is if it was that particular map, cant remember now). Another time it changed to TDM when there were less than 30 players on even though I had set maplist 1 TDM at 0-55 so that it couldnt go back.

Thats not too bad to cope with but last problem I had was I had it running for quite a while today and this evening the server died while I was having a clan match. In the chat logs people were saying that they couldnt hit anything and some people could only knife or headshot. I have a copy of the chatlogs if you want to see them. I wasnt on the server so I cant say exactly what happened but from full server to about 4 in minutes something had to be amiss. Its never happened before I installed and used this plugin if what they are saying is true.

I would like to use it cause its a great plugin but I'm a bit scared of leaving it unattended.

Sorry for such a long post but this is what I've experienced so far. Also is there a way of deleting a maplist to start again? I got a feeling that once you activate the plugin, no matter what you do the original settings are stored and even if you see they are different they won't actually change when live.

There are a couple of servers that I play on regularly that still crash occasionally. If you'd like me to research a specific bug, please follow the steps in the Support section of the original post. Without those logs, there's nothing I can do. And yes, you can delete a map list. There's an option called "Manage Map List" for each list, and one of the options is to remove the list.

Yes, the next version will have this.

I have worked with xVotemap's author in order to maintain the best possible compatibility. If a map has been voted on, and this plugin then changes to a different map list, it will still play the voted map and game mode if it exists on the new list. If the new list has a different game mode, it will still play the voted map, if it exists. Of course, if the voted map doesn't exist at all in the new map list, there's not much we can do, as using the proper map list is most important, in order to prevent killing the server.

After switching from maplist_0 to maplist_1 the player slots for our server is set to 16 on rush mode, but we have a 24 player slot server. Also the battlelog browser is showing only 16 slots.

Maplist_0 is a mixed maplist with Squad Rush and Team deathmatch.

Maplist_1 is a mixed maplist with Rush, Conquest, Assault and Squad Deathmatch.

I have to use "vars.maxPlayers 24" to set player slots back to 24.

PRoCon says 16 because you have a Squad Deathmatch map in the rotation. This is due to a server bug and there's nothing that can be done to change it. Battlelog reports the correct size.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
