It sounds like the problem I have with my procon layer provider. I have to up the plugin as a zip file and then unzip it in the control panel. Otherwise, the plugin is not seen.

One area that I think can be improved upon is if it were possible for UMM to recognize that a blaze disconnect happened and then to hold the current map list for several minutes.

 

What's happening is this: We get hit with a blaze disconnect and everyone drops. UMM sees the server now has population zero so it runs a different map list. However, while this is all happening the people who dropped are furiously hitting 'reconnect' and trying to get back in. They start to re-connect and see that it's now on a totally different map and quite possibly a different game mode causing them to just quit out.

 

I've made a work around in that if we get hit with a blaze disconnect during the day, the default map list which loads is our normal rotation which everyone expects. Then during the night -- off prime time -- it goes to our starter rotation.

 

If it were possible to recognize a blaze disconnect and then NOT change the map list that would help our servers quite a bit. If you'd consider adding it we'd consider donating some more cash your way! :P :P :P

You can use a different plugin like Adaptive Ticket Count, or you can create a custom preset and use the vars.gameModeCounter command.

There's no need for an update to the plugin. You just need to update your BF3.def file. Read about 15 posts up if you need help with that.

Default for CTF is 3 tickets at 100%, so if you want 6 tickets, it needs to be 200%.

I haven't tried this, but it may work... Create a custom preset for the first map with the command "mapList.setNextMapIndex 0". This should reset the map index to 0 after every round, which seems to be what you want.

You need to be sure that the BF3.def file in the Configs folder on your layer server is up-to-date. The one on your local computer has no effect on your layer server. I suppose I should also note that the free version in the first post doesn't support DLC content, so be sure that you're using the version of UMM that was emailed to you (version 1.2.0.2).

i changed my procon-layer today and on the new one i had following setup:

 

0-25 players : tdm+sqdm

26-50 players : assault64+sqdm

 

both on strike at karkand.

 

on each switch it kicked to 32 players. i didnt have that issue on my other layer.

now i m curious and this thread is too long to find exact info (search didnt help me either).

That "known issue" was fixed long ago. So, I'm not sure why you're having problems. It's impossible to know without proper logs.

As the server is also getting stuck on random player slots (e.g. adaptive player changes the players slots normal no prob) But since I turn on UMM its been acting funny and idea's.

Many Thanks for the quick respones-- I had a look at the link and it looks difficult to do -- But you answered the main question that I asked -e.g does this setup look ok ..

My server has been getting a lot of blazes and crashes of late so the ticket problem could just be this losing the connection from the server to procon plugins--

So I will test out differnet settings my end a little more before I go down: the how to properly report a plugin issue road.

Day takes precedence over time. In other words, as soon as it's a new day, the map list will change (at 0:00). Within a given day (or adjacent days of the week), time could be use to change the map list again.

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
