I am leaving the community which owns AdKats, and thus will not have access to any of the servers for testing or have rights to work on it anymore. The leader of the community locked things down legally before I could use their test servers back in the day, which was a necessary evil at the time. As stated many times in PMs between us he is 'being nice' by letting the public use the plugin, so I'm not sure what restrictions will be placed on it once I leave.

If you want any features really badly, I would suggest opening a paid feature request before that day comes.

The loadout enforcer is going to be free once I'm gone.

They belong to my current community, due to the legal extortion i mentioned above.

Have you ever heard of a possibilty to block LRT? Today it happened the third time within a week that someone played for a few minutes without being killed for using the forbidden FLIR. I tried it on myself and got killed almost instantly, so the enforcer worked. I killed him manually to let him know that FLIR wasn´t allowed and checked with the AdKats /loadout command. He still was able to use FLIR after respawning. When he got manually killed for the second time he finally got it.

I know that sometimes there is a delay of a few seconds. But I talk about minutes...?

Thank you!

Do you have high request volume enabled? If so, it's just battlelog not updating. When someone isn't being caught, look at their loadout on battlelog, most of the time when that happens it's just because battlelog isn't updated. Make sure you have high request volume enabled though.

Thank you for your quick answer.

High request volume is enabled. I'll keep an eye on battlelog next time this happens.

LRT worked very very reliable for months. Could it be that DICE changed something with the last battlelog update?

Anyway, as long as it is just one or two players a day that try to use forbidden stuff it's still ok and easy to enforce manually. I learned to like the /loadout command though ;-)

What you are seeing is normal. Usually we would see a few players a day get screwed up on battlelog.

This goes for other players who are legitimate too though, so it's a double edged sword. Players will have a valid loadout, but their battlelog loadout is stuck with invalid weapons and the plugin keeps killing them for it needlessly.

Just tell them to go to their battlelog loadout and press 'Apply'. That seems to reliably wake up the updates.

With this addon, is there a way to limited per rank, lets say there are 20 rank 40's or less on the server and 10, 120's or above.

Is it possible to limit the 120's loadout so that the game would be someone equal?

I am on a mission to helping those that suffer from a certain medical condition and would request possibly some positive feedback as to how the servers in which will be going up can help these men and women get thru the rough patches.

Yes this is probably the long shot, but I have an urge to start paying it forward, leave my KD/r days behind and just do something rather then take and not give back.

Would also like to know if there is a way of modifying the team kill so instead of the person whom is tk'd getting an instant kia or instantly killed for quite possibly an accident which might not have been his/her fault.

It would in turn punish the person whom is trying to punish the player along with calculating the amount of tk's and if need be lead to a kick from the server and if it were to continue lead to a ban from the server, would also like to know if said player tries to revenge a tk it would send a message to both players to either knock it off or leave the server.

Having come to a conclusion that a large majority of the people that play BF4 enjoy teamwork rather then screwing around.

Therefore I am setting up several severs over the course of the next few months that will be just that, based only on teamwork.

If you feel you have any positive feedback, please advise, otherwise keep the deconstructive comments to yourself and move on.

Thank you for your time.

There is not a way to limit this via rank yet. You can open a paid feature request and i'll add an option for that. The plugin would then only activate on people over the rank floor.

You want to punish people who are punishing teamkillers? That doesn't seem right, just don't run an anti-teamkill script then, just turn it off.

Also, the Loadout Enforcer is now FREE, and is available now at the following public repository: https://github.com/AdKats/AdKats-LRT

Wow man that must hurt. But i understand your decision. Getting shot in the knee by BF1 devs after you especially put that juch work into improving their game - basically for free.

Thanks for all the time you've put into this shit Col. You did an awesome job and i'm glad i could contribute a little by paying that small amount back in the day.

Hardline cannot be loadout enforced. Loadout info is available on battlelog but it's not updated in semi-real-time like in BF4. BF4 is somewhat unreliable as it is, and hardline is much worse.

Here are my settings:

The issue I'm having is that the loadout doesn't get enforced on new players automatically. If the player gets punished once, everything works fine; I'm aware that there's a setting "Trigger Enforce Minimum Infraction Points" which is most likely the culprit, and that I can't set this lower than 1.

However, this means the Loadout Enforcer is basically worthless as long as there's no admin around to punish new players so they get infraction points. Or am I missing something?

*Edit*

Okay, I've found a workaround for now. I'm now using procon rules to punish players killing with forbidden weapons, which leads to them having infraction points and so the loadout enforcer works again.

Still, if there's another solution I'm interested in it.

Meanwhile, if anyone else encounters this problem, here's some example rules for you to modify according to your needs:

On Kill;Map XP0_Metro;Weapon U_NLAW;Say /!punish %p% READ OUR RULES!

On Kill;MapMode Domination0;Weapon U_NLAW;Say /!punish %p% READ OUR RULES!

On Kill;Weapon U_SAIGA_20K;Say /!punish %p% READ OUR RULES!

A bit late replying but this will be valid for other people too. The plugin relies on battlelog to get its loadout data. Tell any player who dies due to invalid loadout when they say their loadout is valid to simply go to their battlelog loadout page and click APPLY. The next time they spawn in, their loadout will be updated.

Battlelog sometimes stops updating loadouts for unknown reasons, and there is nothing I can do about it, the plugin has to trust what battlelog says.

If you have that set to true, it enforces your vehicle settings for everyone on spawn regardless of whether they kill with a vehicle or not. With it set to false like you have, after their first transgression against the rules, the vehicle they transgressed with must have a valid loadout when they spawn or they will be slain. There currently isn't a way to make it just slay them when they kill with the invalid loadout. As soon as they mess up, it constantly watches them for that vehicle.

  • Our picks

    • Game Server Hosting:

We're happy to announce that EZRCON will branch out into the game server provider scene. This is a big step for us so please having patience if something doesn't go right in this area. Now, what makes us different compared to other providers? Well, we're going with the idea of having a scaleable server hosting and providing more control in how you set up your server. For example, in Minecraft, you have the ability to control how many CPU cores you wish your server to have access to, how much RAM you want to use, how much disk space you want to use. This type of control can't be offered in a single service package so you're able to configure a custom package the way you want it.

You can see all the available games here. Currently, we have the following games available.

      Valheim (From $1.50 USD)

      Rust (From $3.20 USD)

      Minecraft (Basic) (From $4.00 USD)

Call of Duty 4X (From $7.00 USD)

      OpenTTD (From $4.00 USD)

      Squad (From $9.00 USD)

      Insurgency: Sandstorm (From $6.40 USD)

      Changes to US-East:

Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

    • Hello All,

I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully.

We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • Added ability to disable the new API check for player country info

      Updated GeoIP database file

      Removed usage sending stats

      Added EZRCON ad banner

If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

      procon.private.options.UseGeoIpFileOnly False
      procon.private.options.BlockRssFeedNews False

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.

If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.

Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.

Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.

Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.

Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.

Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.

Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes.

Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.

Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.

Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month

As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.

All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

If you would like to see how much it would cost for the services, I made a calculator that you can use. It can be found here https://ezrcon.com/calculator.html

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
