Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

Also, what happens if you reboot your layer? Does it appear in the same way with all the setting names missing?

I have rebooted the layer server only several times and setting names are still missing. However, yesterday, after rebooting both layer and server the setting names appeared, but after filling out the definition section, and minimize it, the rules section disappeared.

Here is another request for plugin credentials on your layer. As much as you don't like giving access, it helps so much for debugging.

There is an admin command to do this, but it's not available to players. The admin command is /deq and that de-queues a player from any queue they are currently in, movement or otherwise.

That waiting case shouldn't be there for everyone, only for experimental usage. Basically it's there so that people see people being banned for hacks. Nobody actually watches the chat, but if they live with the hacker for a minute and then see the ban it makes them feel more protected. Otherwise they don't see how much the system is protecting them from since the hacker is gone before they ever see them.

 

Also normal players don't see the waiting message, only admins see that. I'll make that change to remove it soon though.

I'm not sure why yours is not getting selected. What happens if you use !ch 1 in chat? You should be assigned that challenge and then when you refresh the procon settings you should see that active entry.

 

The rewards will need more time again. I just got engaged last week and was out of state.

That KPM setting is per weapon, not overall. If they have more than your set KPM with a specific weapon in bans them, regardless of what their overall KPM is.

 

This is described in the docs:

 

"This check uses weapon time and total kills, rather simplistic, just kills/total minutes. If that value is greater than your trigger level the ban is issued. After some research and testing the value used on our servers is the default, 5.0. 200 kills with the weapon in question are required to trigger this check."

When I run !ch 1 in chat, I get the following response: Now playing Get 25 M416 Kills / 3 P226 Kills / 2 M67 Frag Kills challenge. For more info use !ch

 

 

But I am only running one challenge, and do not have multiple challenges going.

 

On the side note, Your challenge system has been a hit with our customers and right now is the most requested and talked about feature in our forums and in game. The question that is asked the most is when is the reward system going to be working. Any ETA of when it will be done will be appreciative and can I suggest that the reward system have two things possible:

 

1- Some way to give reserve slots to those who complete the challenge with the option to set how long the reserve slot will last.

 

2- Some way for an administrator to run a code or see a setting that would show who has won the challenge in the last week or what every time length a person would want to seek out.

 

Great news about your engagement and I wish you and your future bride the best. I understand your time restraints and boy are you going to be busy in the next few months!

There is currently not a way to have multiple pieces of text run the same command. You can set up a proconrulz reply script to automatically tell people the correct rules command if they type it incorrectly.

 

'Normal' players are assigned the 'Default Guest' role. Any commands you give that role, they will have.

I don't have a changelog for it yet, basically everything in the challenge system and random bugfixes/improvements if I remember correctly. I'll build a changelog based on the diff if that gets a full release.

Hi, could you help me? I noticed that when I ban a player through the web BFAdminCP, the player still stays on the server and continues to play even with a ban.

Don't ban a player from their profile if they are in the server, ban them from the live scoreboard. It has worked this way since the UI was launched a couple years ago. Banning a player from their profile doesn't check for any active servers containing the player.

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
