Yes, it is possible, but it will be very, very noisy. It will complain in the debug log that it can't fetch anything for every player. You have to do two things: 1) if it is installed, disable the Battlelog Cache plugin -- doesn't matter if it hasn't worked in months, it has to be disabled anyway, 2) set use_direct_fetch to False.
