Gametype Only' will push all maps with that gametype to the end of the list.



Randomness

An integer between 0 and 10 representing the randomness of the map options for a vote. The algorithm changes the probability of each map and gamemode pair being selected as a vote option depending on how long ago it was last played.
eg. If the maplist has 13 maps and number of vote options is set to 4. The maplist is sorted from played a long time ago (1) to played last map (13).

Randomness = 0: Will rotate through the maplist, only showing the maps that haven't been played in a long time. Players should end up playing every map in the cycle.

Randomness = 5: Maps that haven't been played in a long time will have the highest probablity and recently played maps will have the lowest probability of being selected as vote options.

Randomness = 10: Every map has the same chance of being selected as an option. Players will tend to play the most popular maps repeatedly.


Voting




Trigger

If Automatic, the voting will be triggered automatically near the end of the round. If Manual, the voting will have to be triggered manually with the /votemap command.



Voting Threshold

Integer, representing the minimum total number of votes that must cast for the highest voted map to become the nextmap. If no map reaches this threshold, then the map will just roll over to the next map in the maplist.



Voting Duration

Integer, in seconds, representing the target length of time the voting poll is open for.



Time between Voting End and Round End (Conquest)

Integer, in seconds, representing how long from the end of the round the voting will finish. In other words, at what time you want the voting to take place, mear seconds before the end of round or in the middle of round sometime.



Voting Start Time from Start of Round (Rush and Defuse (Elimination))

Integer, representing the time when voting will start, in seconds from the start of the round. In rush, there is no way to predict when the round will finish with the current RCON information, as the status of MCOMs are unknown. So you must estimate how long the shortest rush round would take and start the vote a couple of minutes earlier in order to ensure a vote will take place.



Minimum Players for Start

Integer, representing the minimum number for players required in the server at the time of vote for the vote to start.



Maximum Players for Start

Integer, representing the maximum number for players allowed in the server at the time of vote for the vote to start.


Xtras




Debug Level

Integer between 0 and 5, where 0 outputs no plugin debug messages, and 5 which outputs even the most mundane steps.

If you have a Server on RCONET there is also a mapvote plugin. It gives the option to have preleminary results shown in chat. Eg. as soon a s someone gives a vote it will show the votelist again with the following format:

and so on. In [n] you see the actual votes any give map has got. I don't like the spamming to much but I notice that much more players are voting there. I presume it is because the votemap list shows up again and again as soon as somebody votes - in my example it will have shown 4 times so user notice. With xVotemap ppl playing don't notice that Vote is going on - especially now that YELL is no longer supported.

 

Is there a way to implement something similar? Keep the good work going... :smile:

thanks for the wonderfull plugin and effort you put in it. I used it for my TDM/ Oblit server.

 

It ran fine, but after a day or so, it stopped showing the voting options on Oblit when there was still 1 bomb left.

However, when the last bomb was detonated the server still didn't recognize the round was over (prob a oblit server bug) but after that it refuses to work on TDM also.

 

I've tried rebooting both server and layer multiple times, but no help. It just spams

over and over again. Any idea what might be wrong, or that i missed?

restarting the procon layer should have fixed your issue. if its still there please post debug output with debug level set to 5. so i can see whats going on in detail. you can also post the log offsite somewhere and link it here. post as much log as you can (the console log is also interesting)

 

Hi, thank you for the wonderful plugin.

I observed an issue today during a mapvote on map Zavod 311 Conquest large (BF4). A Vote was running and during the vote the plugin "Ultimate Map manager" changed maplist from large maps (approx 16 players on server) to small maps TDM and DOM.

As seen in the log, Paracel Storm was voted for Conquest large but maplist was changed because of less players to maps for gamemode TDM and DOM.

In the log at time 23:39:53:87 a Maplist change detect followed a level load immediately.

 

Can I stop xVotemap from switching the map in this case, meanwhile all are still playing?

 

XVotemap version: 1.5.3

Ultimate Map Manger version: 1.2.3.6

procon: 1.4.1.3

Hi there,

 

I guess I found the solution myself. In Ultimate Map Manager the item "Switch to new map list immediately" has been set to yes.

 

This forces a mapchange right in the middle of a game, if number of players is less than nescessary for game mode:

nice to see you found a solution.

remember: If the maplist is changed during a vote the winning map will not correctly be the next map. (known issue)

 

My wish list for a further update:

 

Add an option: Exclude current GAMEMODE from vote options.

I will add that in the next update. nice idea thx :-)

 

For obliteration with the new time limit on it is there a way to force the vote if there are more than one bomb left to plant?

i will (most likely) add an option controlling a time limit for votemap (like: start vote after x minutes roundtime) which is effective for all gamemodes

votemap works with OB afaik. it will start in the last round of a map when one of the teams has 1 bomb site left and end when the vote lasted for "voting duration" or the round ends, whatever is sooner.

to uninstall a plugin just delete the .cs file and restart your procon layer.

however i can asure you that your problem of being unable to login is NOT caused by votemap or any other plugin. you should contact your gsp

Votemap works fine for me and it has been working fine for a long time.

 

Are you guys deleting the votemap .dll file when you update your plugin to the new version?

 

1) Make sure you shut down ProCon.

2) Delete the files xVotemap.cs and xVotemap.dll from your BF4 Plugins folder.

3) Add the new xVotemap.cs to your BF4 Plugins folder.

I did end up changing the min players to start from "0" to "1" and it seems to work but when you type in your vote such as /1, it comes back '1' is not a valid command. Also I was in my server by myself, I have all the CQ maps, including CR loaded up as my map list, I was on Golmud and did a test vote, voted for Hainan, waited and it said Zavod won with 100% of votes with 3 votes, how is that possible? Zavod is at the top of the list btw.

Somewhat new to plugins (week 2 now). I will enable debug and take a look at the logs.

 

Basically, votemap runs fine during CQ maps, and will list OB and CQ map modes/maps just fine. However, if its on a OB map, it will not list anything at all. We don't even see the banner. Let me enable debug and take a look, if I cant figure it out, Ill upload and report back.

      Changes to US-East:

We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.
