Advanced In-Game Admin and Ban Enforcer - AdKats

If you've been banned from a server then you will need to appeal the ban with the owners/community of that server. We do not control any bans done on servers that utilize AdKats as all bans are local to that server.

Again COL. everything you put into that is great I like it the players like it I am not complaing or asking for more just my opinions.

There isn't any interaction between player challenges right now, so that would be a larger effort. As for the random selection it would be really bad if it auto-assigned a very difficult challenge to a random person and they thought they were required to do that. As for allowing repeated easy challenges, maybe make the rewards for those less enticing. I could also add a cooldown on some rewards so they can only get a certain reward so often. That's what i added with the command lock, so it could be added to the others relatively easily.

Lets make sure you have a valid round ID. Look in the 'server settings' section at the top, the one with all the displays. What is the 'server round' value? It must be greater than 1 for the challenge system to function properly.

There is no way to set it up for specific teams on specific maps, it's just set up to randomize the teams on all maps given the restrictions you set. If it doesn't seem to be working make sure your restrictions are set up properly in that setting section.

Look for them in section 3-3 to see if they have a reserved slot assigned. If you see them there but not in procon make sure you are feeding reserved slots to procon in the orchestration setting section.

 

All perk time for challenges is additive, meaning if someone has 6 hours remaining on their reserved slot already but they complete a challenge with a 6 hour reward, they will now have 12 hours of reserved slot. The rewards don't replace their existing perks, they add on top of them. This is why i mentioned people grinding easy challenges isn't an issue because you can make the reward 6 hours and they have to complete it 4 times to get a day worth of reserved slot time. The tier 1 challenges are just there to get people interested, at least that's how i had it set up.

Thanks ColColonCleaner found my mistake I didn't have any orchestration settings set to true. Working great now, sorry for all the questions/mistakes.

 

I know you have been asked about new functions, I was wondering if at any point a reward could link into the VIP slot manager plugin so that not only does the user who wins a challenge get the reserved slot but also VIP perks?

Thanks amazing all working now. Like a dream. In regards to you adding the !perks would there be any possibility in the future of letting the user know when they join that they have perks? I mean without them having to type the command? Maybe what perks they have with how long is left?

No, that would cause a lot of unnecessary spam. However, you can turn on expiring perk announcements. I forget where the setting is. It lets people know that they have perks that are expiring soon, and you can set a duration for how long before they expire to tell them. That's mainly for paid stuff that's supposed to last months so players may forget, turning it on when you have challenges running could also result in spam.

 

Expiring perk announcement is just one line telling them they have perks expiring soon and to type !perks to see them.

Wait, i don't display role_key do i? That seems like a pretty big miss on my part.

 

Look at the adkats_roles table and take the role_key values.

Ah yes.

Eod bot kills come through as 'Death' not the eod bot kill code, probably why this isn't working.

Also the 320/fb kills probably aren't working because they are using an underslung rail. Tell them that they can't use the underslung rail on their gun when doing the challenge for that weapon and it will likely work normally then. The rail makes it a different kill code.

Run /pupdate to grab the latest version. I believe this issue is fixed.

 

EDIT: Also, after updating look in the console for any errors rendering. It simply not showing the rules section (section 4 there is missing) is very odd.

I've just ran /pupdate, still getting the same issue with the error reporting back about the round ID. I see nothing in the console to do with Adkats regarding the error rendering. Is there another other settings that can affect the challenge system, that I may have overlooked?

      Changes to US-East:

      Starting in January 2022, we will be moving to a different provider that has better support, better infrastructure, and better connectivity. We've noticed that the connection/routes to this location are not ideal and it's been hard getting support to correct this. Our contract for our two servers ends in March/April respectively. If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

      If you are upgrading then you may need to add these two lines to your existing installation in the file procon.cfg. To enable these options just change False to True.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
