Problem:

 

When preround is over due enough players (4) , next round should be loaded, but it ends in a black loadiung screen, and you get stuck.

 

If you quit BF4 and rejoin the server, the level is loaded ok, and you can play. You can see the other players in the game, but they are stuck!!

 

Time: About 9:11 / 9:12 about that time the server went from preround to the normal round

From what i can see, when preround is over at like 9:11, UMM is setting the map to Dragonpass, while Zavod , the map of the preround is loaded by the server, because its map i also use for preround. So maby there is going something wrong ?

It looks like Zavod restarted when the preround ended and just after, UMM changed the map list. However, this has nothing to do with what happened. I wish you had debug messages for ASS turned on. All I can see in the log is that maxPlayers was set to 36 at 9:11:16 and then to 8 at 9:11:17. Either way, whether it was at 36 or 8, people should be able to join.

 

Several people have reported issues since the last server update, but I don't know what to make of it. Maybe some more people will send me some logs of the problem. But, even then, I'm not sure there's much I can do. Everything appears to be working fine from a plugin perspective. The server is what's screwing up.

If it says it's 86400 and it's not waiting 86400 seconds, then it's a server bug. It seems a lot of those were introduced in R24. Fun times.

Unless some plugin sets the preset.normal again, then it will be reset to standard again.

Seem to be working now on the fourth attempt but I'll keep a close eye on it. Thanks for the reply though

I resolved it, appears when I updated the BF4.def it reset rush and small CQ to max players of 32 over the 64. Doing a slow, methodical perusing of the settings does wonders. So if anyone else does the same to fix votemap, here is ur issue.

Same problem here, not sure if I can blame it on Adaptive Server Size, it always happens with it enabled, but I haven't tried with it disabled yet...

So far i can see i has nothing to do with the ASS. This problem is since r29 i think. It is also random, mainly i get stuck on the loading screen, but some of my clanmates dont ever had the problem.

 

I already found an solution i think for this bug. Just when the 4th player has spawned, you get the timer onscreen, just do a !nextlevel command so the server will load a map before the timer does!

 

I tested this, this morning and for the first time i didnt hang!!

That is when I get the hangs and some of my clanmates as well. When the 4th comes in to start the server off. I will do what you did to see if it helps, thanks.

You probably just need to update your BF4.def file. The plugin reads the game modes from there.

What makes you think it's the plugin causing it? This is a known server issue and it's not caused by plugins, it has to be fixed by DICE!

Our server does the same thing, we notice it when we have less then 4 guys and the fourth guy joins and the game starts, endless black loading screens. We had to leave this plugin unchecked and really miss it, updated the bf4 def files, stopped the layer and did a clean uninstall and reinstall; can't get it to work. We had no trouble before the Navel map pack.

      Changes to US-East:

If you currently have servers in this location you will be migrated over to the new provider. We'll have more details when the time comes closer to January. The new location for this change will be based out of Atlanta, GA. If you have any questions/concerns please open a ticket and we'll do our best to answer them.

      I wanted to give an update to how EZRCON is doing. As of today we have 56 active customers using the services offered. I'm glad its doing so well and it hasn't been 1 year yet. To those that have services with EZRCON, I hope the service is doing well and if not please let us know so that we can improve it where possible. We've done quite a few changes behind the scenes to improve the performance hopefully. 

      We'll be launching a new location for hosting procon layers in either Los Angeles, USA or Chicago, IL. Still being decided on where the placement should be but these two locations are not set in stone yet. We would like to get feedback on where we should have a new location for hosting the Procon Layers, which you can do by replying to this topic. A poll will be created where people can vote on which location they would like to see.

      We're also looking for some suggestions on what else you would like to see for hosting provider options. So please let us know your thoughts on this matter.

    • I wanted I let you know that I am starting to build out the foundation for the hosting services that I talked about here. The pricing model I was originally going for wasn't going to be suitable for how I want to build it. So instead I decided to offer each service as it's own product instead of a package deal. In the future, hopefully, I will be able to do this and offer discounts to those that choose it.

      Here is how the pricing is laid out for each service as well as information about each. This is as of 7/12/2020.

      Single MySQL database (up to 30 GB) is $10 USD per month.



      If you go over the 30 GB usage for the database then each additional gigabyte is charged at $0.10 USD each billing cycle. If you're under 30GB you don't need to worry about this.


      Databases are replicated across 3 zones (regions) for redundancy. One (1) on the east coast of the USA, One (1) in Frankfurt, and One (1) in Singapore. Depending on the demand, this would grow to more regions.


      Databases will also be backed up daily and retained for 7 days.




      Procon Layer will be $2 USD per month.


      Each layer will only allow one (1) game server connection. The reason behind this is for performance.


      Each layer will also come with all available plugins installed by default. This is to help facilitate faster deployments and get you up and running quickly.


      Each layer will automatically restart if Procon crashes. 


      Each layer will also automatically restart daily at midnight to make sure it stays in tip-top shape.


      Custom plugins can be installed by submitting a support ticket.




      Battlefield Admin Control Panel (BFACP) will be $5 USD per month


      As I am still working on building version 3 of the software, I will be installing the last version I did. Once I complete version 3 it will automatically be upgraded for you.





      All these services will be managed by me so you don't have to worry about the technical side of things to get up and going.

    • I have pushed out a new minor release which updates the geodata pull (flags in the playerlisting). This should be way more accurate now. As always, please let me know if any problems show up.
