To clear the settings, stop the layer server, then edit the .cfg file in your Configs folder that is named after the IP address and port of your server, like 192.168.1.5_5000.cfg, for example. In this file delete EVERY line that says "CAdaptiveServerSize", then save it and start the server. If the BF4.def file is updated, this should solve the problem. Quote * Restored post. I'm assuming they will be far too lenient on players though, with far fewer options available than are needed to properly balance the wide variety of servers.
